GET PAC v MARTINEZ DONE at 153 or 155!!

Pac would NEVER EVER EVER fight Sergio above 150, and Sergio really doesn't have any business fighting below 157ish. He can make 154 these days but it certainly isn't his best weight. If they fought above 154 Pac gets brutalized. He got hit 221 times by a slow, past prime, garbage Margarito. Get hit 221 times by Martinez and you're getting KO'ed. And please nobody respond with anything about Margs beating Martinez, completely different fighters at this point.

pac will never fight at proper super welterweight limit,he cant make that without finally losing his speed. he started to lose speed at 150 vs margarito!. martinez is fast strong and powerful-he should just unify his 2 divisions, pac has biz with floyd and marquez. if it was at 150 or lower,i could see pac hitting and moving all night, sergio would be difficult to fight,and could KO pac,but pacs movement and style is bother for anyone.

even IF Sergio was a WW who weighed in at 146 for EVERY fight he STILL wouldn't be invited to dance with Manny...first of all, he moves his head and slips punches well enough to keep Manny off balance....second, he counters very well......excellent movement...precision punching....better than average ring IQ.....and most of all...he's slicker than Rick and a barrell of BP's best....stylistically he's a nightmare for Manny....lets be real here....stop the size cries.....Martinez can do things to nullify the ONE advantage Manny has and thats speed....Manny be killing dudes with his speed....Martinez can move laterally and counter him to sleep....when Manny shows me he can handle a slickster who's going to give him angles, head and lateral movement then we can discuss and debate....but please stop acting like Sergio is too big for Manny....not saying there isn't a size difference but I think it has more to do with his style and skill set than his size...just my 2 pennies :boxing: oh yea...If Sergio was a WW they would PROBABLY fight him at 143 or some weird weight....and if Sergio fought like Pavlik.....Manny and his peeps would go get that MW strap....trust me!!

I'm not quite sure what's going on with the clamoring for these fights, sure Pac walked into the ring weighing 148 when fighting Margarito, but Martinez as of late has been fighting fully sized middleweights. Mayweather weighed in at 146 for his last bout and came into the fight at 150. Martinez is bigger than them and will outweigh both by probably 15lbs fight night...Stylistically speaking, it's a nightmare for Pac, who although looked great against Margarito's charging style and Clottey's "whatever that was that night" would have a **** ton of problems against a slick counter puncher who's waaay bigger. Mayweather would handle Martinez's style a little better but still would be given fits even if he managed to win. It just doesn't make any sense beyond casual fandom to call for these fights... I also disagree with Naazim Richardson's statement that the only way to beat guys like Margarito and Pac is to hurt them. They could definitely be out-skilled by either counter punchers or someone with faster hands, better footwork who turns them a lot. Reference the PWill (whose defense is his offense) vs Margarito fight and tell me when Paul hurt Margarito. I'll wait... Actually, Margarito hurt Paul in the 11th with those 2 shots to the cheekbones he landed. What Paul did was throw a ton of punches and constantly turn Margs using his footwork-and Won a decision. and we all know what issues Pac had with Marquez who is the definition of a counterpuncher. Sergio is too big for Pac. A natural junior middleweight growing into a legit middleweight. Cotto on the otherhand is big enough to fight Sergio, but he shoudnt as he will be brutalized.

I wouldn't mind this fight at 154 or 155. If Pacquiao lost, well, it wouldn't really hurt his legacy in anyway - Martinez was just too big. If he won though, it would have been as impressive as a Mayweather win. To me, it would pretty much be a 50-50 fight. The only problem to me would be, if Manny would beat him - what would happen when the top 168s started calling him out? It can't go on forever, and I don't think this fight will happen either.

I hope after the mosley fight pac will fight martinez at 154 so that we can hear those excuses again that martinez is shot and weight drained or pac was using peds. Lol.

Definately would have to be at a catchweight to make it fair. Pac has maxxed out at 145-47, not surpsising for his frame. He started at 109 and has already gone up 10 divisions. People calling for him to fight at middleweight or give up 9-10lbs at the catchweight, where he will likely be outweighed by 20+ lbs in the fight, are being ****ing ridiculous and probably want Pac put in a coma. Team pac would probably only accept 150-152
