I'm rooting for Solis who's got a big chance on Saturday
He has an extremely decorated amateur career.
So does Audley Harrison...doesnt mean much, they are different sports. Fact is Ray Austin was giving him fits and I think a slightly younger Ray would have beat him. Now, going up against a much smarter, stronger, bigger and tougher fighter...I dont see him having much of a chance. In fact, if he did drop a lot of weight, that might hurt him even more. I thought his weight might save him from a few knock downs, fact is he is an amateur whose been in limited pro fights and his best wins are Ray Austin and Monte Barrett...he hasnt taken the beating a true pro like vitali can dish out. Thats a huge adjustment.
Also, I dont get why people cant seem to get this...Vitali likes fighting off the back foot, he likes when guys pressure him, he seems to struggle most with guys who want to just stand near the ropes and protect themselves and in fact he opens himself up and seems frustrated when hes not getting any pressure.
If people havent watched the Kevin Johnson fight you can see how frustrated vitali is. He literally in the 12th is taunting, putting his right hand straight in the air, screaming at Kevin Johnson, talking **** to him etc...Vitali doesnt like that type of fight, he wants you to come and get him, he wants you to exhaust yourself trying to get inside and throwing meaningless punches as he human rope a dopes you and punches you in the face.
The only guy who could beat Vitali if hes even close to healthy, doesnt exist. It takes a guy his height and length willing to stand their ground
You probably said the same about every opponent Vitali faced since his comeback "this guy can't do worse than the previous ones", then they all get dominated. It doesn't matter what shape Solis is in, he's going to lose.
No, I didn't.....
Why do ppl think this guy is talented when he doesn't even have a signature win to his name?...
Can someone name an Odlanier Solis fight where he looked impressive against a quality opponent?...

He's fighting for a heavyweight world title, i'd like to think he'd be in shape.
It's ****ing embarrassing watching these fat ****ers waddle about the ring blowing out of their arse after throwing a couple of shots.
They've all got bigger tits than my girl, and she's blessed in the mammary department.
No pics either before you ask
pics or it didn't happen

Solis for the WIN!!!!
An in shape Solis should give Klitschko his biggest test since his comeback. Solis is a very talented guy.

You make a great point.
I think most people are giving Solis a chance because of Vitali declining, not because Solis is talented.

The reason I say he's talented is because of the stuff he does in the ring regardless of who his opponent is, the little subtle moves that he makes can't really be taught.
I know the amateurs aren't the pros but he used to fight like a pro in the amateurs and he was phenomenal there.
His weight is his main problem as a pro, he fell into the trap that a lot of Cubans fall into when they turn pro in the States.

How tall is Solis?
Has Solis got decent stamina?
Solis height: 6'1'' reach: 79"
Vitali height: 6'7'' reach: 80"
And no, Solis hasn't shown in his previous fights that he has good stamina.
