According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, when Ricardo Mayorga is taking punches from Miguel Cotto tonight, 90% of his purse will go to promoter Don King. Mayorga's purse was reported to the Nevada Athletic Commission as $500,000 but when he signed for an MMA fight in late 2009, King went to court and won a lawsuit against Mayorga. Mayorga signed for the MMA fight after King stopped getting him fights for over a year, but when King went to court, the MMA fight never happened. As a result of the lawsuit, the Las Vegas newspaper reports that King will take $450,000 as payment on the judgment, leaving Mayorga with $50,000 to split up among his trainer, cutman, manager and himself.
