These are the kind of physical signs that make boxers think hard of retiring for good. There's a good chance that Pacquiao will think of retiring after his fight with Mosley. Seems inevitable.

Many people have misconceptions about this "ganglion "cyst" What it REALLY is, is perfectly harmless and painless. And not uncommon. It is a swelling of the sheath which encloses a tendon. You can either ignore it, or treat it. The common method in MY DAY, was to get a solid book, lay your hand on the table and hit it a whack. That would burst it and the collected liquid would be absorbed and PRESTO, the cyst would be gone, usually never to return. To "have one's hand cut open" is really "OVERKILL".

I've had that happen on my right wrist, I can't say if it hurts for Pacquiao but it really didn't bother me.
