How the hell is Cotto vs Margarito 2 pointless especially with the whole plaster incident in the first fight. That fight needs to happen for that reason to answer the question mark for both of those fighters. That is one fight that is not pointless at all. The fight ended up being a modern classic and there was a lot of controversy added after Tony's wrap scandal. This is a fight MANY people would pay good money to see and Arum would have a perfect storm of promotion- holding it on the PR day parade weekend (hopefully it's in MSG or better yet Yankees stadium), having a 24/7 or even better a Fight Camp 360 (possibly on CBS), and a guaranteed bloody action fight. So the real question is, why not do it? Arum squeezes out one more money fight where he keeps the whole pot then he throws the winner in with Martinez for another blockbuster PPV, whose sales will be bolstered by Cotto-Margarito II and maybe even Cotto-Mayorga and Martinez-Dzinzurik if they end up being highlight reel fights.
