anyone have any thoughts about Cotto not choosing to face off at the end of the LA presser? Seemed like he had no interest in it which prompt Mayorga to call him a p.ussy and whatnot
no and I think it's merely Cotto not wanting to deal with the aspect that Mayorga will start something but he has never done that before
Yeah I think Cotto is trying his hardest but he is already way beyond pissed at Mayorga and figures all going nose to nose with Mayorga will get him is into a physical confrontation. The bad thing for Mayorga is it is getting him more hyped so he will likely fight even more stupid than usual. I dont expect this one to last too long.

cotto didn't want to stare into mayorga's eyes he didn't want to get lost in them...you know, cause apparently there's a lot of homos on the island of puerto rico...
Cotto should let it get physical and push around, its good for sales..I really don't see this fight getting over 200k at the rate of this promotion and the hype behind this match up..
It's gonna be a flop and Cotto could add another 50k by putting some drama behind it, like a press conference fight. that's what I think.
But Cotto probably doesn't wanna hear it anymore, like at first it was cool with the back and forth talk but it got old quick and I think Cotto just wants to be unleashed and do damage on this guy already.
Choosing not to face means nothing. What happens in the RING on Saturday night is what count and is what Cotto is looking foward to.
This fight still makes me a little nervous for Cotto. You know Mayorga's looking to land one big clubbing right. He always does (see: Tito/Oscar). I just hope Cotto can deal with it.
I think Cotto probably feels if Mayorga does something funny he would bust his azz and risk enjuring his self before the fight.
Or it could Be he don't feel like the dealing with the bullsh1t.
I don't like this fight but I am looking forward to it.
Not really sure what to make of it. What do you think Eaner?
I think his mind was set on not giving Mayorga any chance of getting this heated because even with his portion of the presser he kept it short and didn't let Mayorga get a word in before he went back to his seat
then he took off no one on ones nada
I will have the presser up in a bit
I'm leaning towards that. Cotto's never been one to accentuate the pre fight hype more than handling business in the ring, which I think he'll do Sat night.

I hope that's a sign that he is simply not playing into the mind games. The last time I saw that was Tarver-Hopkins and the Magic Man was beaten mentally before he ever stepped in the ring.

I only saw one picture but the vibe the picture gave me was weird (it was the one with Mayorga showing his abs).
There are two ways to look at it I guess: the positive one is that he is trying not to get into Mayorga games because even if it is a brawl as long as Cotto can keep his head he should be fine, The negative one would be Cotto is acting differently solely for Mayorga which could effect him mentally in the fight especially if things don't go according to plan.
