What fight do you think pac hit his absolute peak? I would personaly have to say between the hatton and cotto fights. It would have been good to see just how much more he was capable of had he not almost killed hatton in 2 rounds. He had footwork, power, speed, killer combinations, and took those camps to the limit. It would have been hard to bet against that version of pacquiao.
So what fight do you guys think he peaked in?
Poll coming
no..he just couldnt stop them..they are more sturdy than cotto
And down the line, Margarito is prob going to wish his corner or the ref stopped the fight sooner. Margarito took more punishment then anyone of Pacquaio's previous opponents. I dont think Margarito's vision will ever be the same.
From diaz onwards it has been all uphill. These fighters on paper should have tested Pac. They would have been expected to test any other fighter in history.
Pac is the GOAT now, but it is the road to retirement now, and anything that happens from now till his retirement dictates if he strays from being the GOAT. Just like when RJJ was just about the best things sinced sliced bread after beating Ruiz, but it went down hill from there somehow.

i believe he still at his peak skill wise and not in his prime peak physical wise because of the wear and tear.
the reason he didnt stop Clottey and Margarito were because of the great chin and giving up to much weight. i believe Clottey was around 160 and Marg we all know was 165 lbs. against Hatton the weight difference wasnt that much. Pac cannot give up 17 lbs and expect him to knock out his opponent. that was too much to ask.
hes still at his absolute best, nothing has changed since 09
Is he still good, absolutely. However, there is no way margarito would have survived hatton-cotto pac. Clottey would have gotten stopped due to his style. That pac simply would not stop.

Like Pullcounter said he lost his hunger, After the 9th round against Margarito, he could've finished him off any round but instead he's looking at the ref for assurance.
Against clottey I can understand why he didn't get to many chances to hit him flush, by Margarito was a different story.
'09 was his year. I think he would've been a greater threat at 140 lbs now than 147 because of his KO power at that weight. I'm not just talking about Hatton, he was killing sparring partners at junior welterweight. Where is that bloody picture of that Armenian guy...
