He trains in the same city as I do which is vancouver canada and I am thinking of taking some private lessons of him once I get my car insurance since he is in a different district.
Now I am wondering how good he is as a boxer and trainer and what did he do best as a boxer???
An excellent and elegant technician as I recall him. He fought Racheed Lawal (RIP) in Denmark back in the 80ties and he gave a very good account of himself in losing a razorthin decision. I remember Lawal talked about how much he learned from fighting Tony Pep.
I think he would be a great trainer. I have been to boxing shows around the lower mainland and he has trained some fighters that looked pretty good. My brother trained there for a bit and really liked it as well. Do it.
Tony Pep went 12 with Mayweather and got KO'd by Ricky Hatton.
He was a tall lanky FW than LW at 6"1.
He was a pretty good boxer.
He lacked power.
I could think of worst guys to learn boxing from.
Go for it.
