Would Canelo beat Margarito at a 150 catchweight

I'll take Canelo right now.I don't think Margarito has anything left.For whatever reason he hasn't looked the same since a couple minutes before the 1st round against Mosley.I think that wide youngster beat him like a drum & stops him currently.

Alvarez needs to stay away from any boxer with a solid chin and with a high punching output. Sometimes Alvarez gets hit too easily even with his hands up. He needs more fights, it just sucks that they made him a champion so early. In a division with a lot of dangerous people no less. Maybe they'll match him against Sergio Mora, it would be a good test for Alvarez' accuracy.

I would take Alvarez to win. Margarito was never top notch or elite IMO. Now even though Margarito won the fight against Cotto he took a great deal of damage add the beatings he took against Mosley and Manny. Margarito doesn't have a lot left. So to think Alvarez can't beat Margarito is fvcking retarded.

I don't think think Alvarez will dish out anything that Margarito hasn't dealt with before. Alvarez doesn't have that one big shot to make Margarito think twice about coming forward. I think Alvarez right now would actually not know how to fight a pressure fighter considering he's never had to take a step backward in his career. And considering his age as well, I believe he may be the type that can be fragile if he isn't able to see an effect on his opponent if he eats his shots well enough - he may become discouraged.

Anyone who think Canelo can beat Margarito because of what he did to Matt Hatton at a catchweight needs to start watching another sport. Margarito would destroy Canelo easily.

We've never seen Alvarez in the ring with someone like Margarito, so until then I take Margarito.

i would love to see saul fight under pressure. saul will deff not walk through margo's punches like he has with lovemore and hatton, i think we would see a more defensive alvarez. also, with margo starting fights slow, he will deff take the early rounds, and hopefully do some good damage to him to where he won't be the best he was against cotto. plus, im sure saul and his corner would take this fight more seriously than they have against their most recent opponents.. either that, or they're really stupid to think saul's normal training camp can defeat the likes of margo.

Alvarez aint blazing but he's fast enough to land on Margo. That's assuming Alvarez makes weight and doesn't have any time restrictions on his post fight weight gaining.
