is it really a wise decision to leave Freddie Roach?
this kid is the future of boxing & one day will be the next p4p superstar
he deserves a tutelage of a world class trainer who can mold him into greatness
thoughts?
It's a wise move if he can't get any quality work with Freddie.
The one thing that hurts is that he won't get the quality sparring that he could get at the Wild Card.
But, everybody says, so and so should go to Freddie. But, if Freddie doesn't have anytime for you then what good is he to you?
And, should he have a World class trainer? Maybe, but what's considered being a World class trainer? Gabriel Sarmiento isn't really known but is a World class trainer? He does train Martinez and Matthysse.
So I don't know what criteria is there to be consider as a World class trainer. But, I think his dad is training him right? I might be mistaken though but I think I read that he was somewhere. And, if that's the case then that's no good. And, he should get another trainer...Who? I don't know, I like Goosen, Garcia, Hunter, even Nacho.
yeah i believe thats their gripe with Freddie, he's too busy and cannot commit as a full time trainer
i guess i emphasized too much by saying "world class trainer", maybe like legit or top trainers out there like Garcia or Nacho
Naazim could be one, or Rudy Perez
he already left roach, and had a fight since then. but the funny thing is, his first fight without roach led to a decision. with roach, he was 9(9)-0, now he is 10(9)-0. i mean you can't knock em all out, but he did have some difficulty in the fight. i think he is okay for now, maybe when we snatches a major title belt, and then has to fight off top opposition, then he might need that kind of coach. i think he'll be okay with his dad in his corner for now, who knows, maybe by the time he captures 'elite' fighter status, roach will have time for him again....he is only 18 too, he has plenty of years to learn and develop as a fighter.

nacho sounds good carnal:boxing:
I expect a showdown between benavidez and rios in the next couple
of years:boxing:
Damn what a fight that would be.
But I really want to see how well Jose's chin is.
It's not like there aren't other "World Class Trainers" out there..
(I predict he's going to Robert Garcia in the near future)

I know I was shocked when he left Freddie the kid has I think one of the most natural talents I have ever seen. I have a feeling he might hook back up with Freddie.

But I think he'd really mesh well with Nacho.
