I have lived in PR and my ex was from PR. I can tell you that even though I think there have been better fighters in the history of PR, I don't think there's ever been a more loved and revered fighter in the history of PR like Tito.
They adore this guy and have created a bigger legend than what is really there to be honest. I have a lot of respect for Tito but you would think he's Ali the way he is treated and I think it's because he treats people the same way.
I heard he's a real genuine cat and does a lot for the people of his town.
Cotto on the other hand, I think comes off as very humble and private but I have heard he's just not a people person. He likes to be left alone and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
Sometimes people can mistake wanting privacy with not being nice....I think Cotto just wants his privacy.
I am going to Puerto Rico in September and I am trying to see if I could meet him!!
Dude I am moving in July, and my future brother in laws know Juanma and Quintana. They already told me they would introduce them to me as they are cops and have the pull. Tito on the other hand I will have to actually go to his town to see if I can meet him.
put it like this... even when losing people went to receive him at the airport. I can't wait to meet him in person.

If people need an idea of how big Tito was, just look at footage of Tito in Puerto Rico parading the streets after the De la Hoya fight.
That was a COLOSSAL parade. I'm going to go see if I can footage of it.

People Idolize Tito, he always represented his island, I have truly never seen a more patriotic boxer than him. The loss to bhop shut down the entire island. true story
