Just searching for the Cotto vs Mayorga preview show I've seen bits of on Showtime and the Cotto vs Mayorga weigh in is going to be aired live on Showtime Extreme at 6PM ET the night before the fight. Wish HBO and Showtime would do this with all their major fights.
If you got Time Warner like I do, check out "Events On Demand" ch. 1004. They usually have previews of their up-and-coming PPV events. They have Cotto-Mayorga there (30 minutes) including the press-con, and a couple of Cotto fights (Clottey and Judah)...
Yeah that nice. The more boxing on tv the better. If they had a boxing news show id be watching ever week. **** they have shows like that for mma, i know if it was there it would get veiwers
i say start a thread, see if it gets some approvals and stuff...
Good Idea I will def show support this show would be awesome. Say their episode for February to discuss Montiel vs. Doanire, Jones vs. Karass, and Rios vs. Acosta and preview all the fights coming up in March Alvarez/Hatton, Cotto/Mayorga, Martinez fight, Lucian Bute, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Garcia vs. Remillard.
Would be a great show.

I will some other time maybe later tonight. I got some homework to do right now and am getting off the computer but I am going to make a thread to get all of the support I can for this idea and than going to submit and idea to HBO by e-mail on what the show can cover and what the fans would like to see. I am going to provide a link to HBO as well on the thread with all the support I get on here.
I live in Chicago to brother. You excited about these Bulls?
Yeah I am down I say we get as many boxingscene members to do that. How do you e-mail HBO?

I just "tweeted" HBO and Showtime about it (http://twitter.com/#!/BangBangLampley). You should do the same if you have a Twitter or contact them here: http://www.hbo.com/boxing/index.html#/about/contact-us.html
i think boxing fans should email them asking for this....maybe if enough of us do it they will take notice. it really makes zero sense why they dont do this

it's almost embarrassing HBO doesn't have something like this by now.
Think how awesome it could be not only could they talk about what's going on, recap and future fights they could break major stories/announcements and have guests appear on the show to call out other fighters, etc. it would be so good for the sport.

Can someone e-mail this to HBO lol Its a better idea than anyone at HBO Boxing has come up with in a long time.

I know it would be my favorite show on tv. HBO Boxing has to start being a lot more creative and not just air fights but give fans an exclusive inside look at the sport. Like fighters backgrounds/stories, training methods, and strategies going into fights.

that would be the perfect thing for them to do at HBO, i would deff tune in every week.
I think Showtime would do a boxing show before HBO. Showtime has Inside the NFL, Inside NASCAR, and they always do that year in review show.
Yeah I think HBO can make a cool show just have Manny Steward, Max Kellerman, and Larry Merchant just talk Boxing for like 30 minutes and make one for every month I would love to watch that.

I hear you that would be awesome. I would also like if HBO did like a 30 minute show once a week or month and just discussed things going on in the world of Boxing.
