If the odds are well in favor of your fighter but the opponent has a great shot to win, do you bet against them or do you always give them the benefit of the doubt? Cotto-Margarito, Cotto was a 4-1 favorite and though I thought Cotto would win and was rooting for him, I thought Marg could pull the upset and I could make some bank. Good call on that one. Anyone else done this, or do you always assume your favorite will win?
Offcourse.
Rooting nad turning scenarios in your head that you're guy migth win is one thing.
When money is on the line howevr you should think with your head not your heart.
I bet against Rafael Marquez when he fought Juanma. Against Bhop when he fought Pavlik.
I was actually thinking of betting on Hopkins over Pavlik even though Pavlik was one of my favorites. Pavlik was a big favorite but I had a feeling that Hop might do exactly what he did.
Nah I didn't think Manny would lose.
I always bet against him with e-points on here and he always wins. Superstition thing.
My last boxing bet was on Manny winning a UD against Margs.
Tony just about managed to hold on.
I'm a little superstitious as well. So you always bet against Manny so you think he will win then right? If that's your thing then I would keep doing it so you can hope that Manny will keep winning when you do.
Does picking 1 of ur 2 favorite fighters count. It was a rather heart breaking experience when Winky & the Punisher fought. Before the Punisher,Winky was my favorite fighter. But then he took a hiatus from the sport & I started to follow the Punisher. So when word came that they were fighting,I picked the Punisher(the new breed) against the old school fighter.
Sure that counts. It just seems like lots of people always think their fighter/team are going to win every time. Just wondered if anyone has done what I did, because you can make some good money doing it sometimes. It's kind of a win win situation. If your fighter wins you will be out some money but should be happy they won, and if they lose you will be upset they lost but then happy you win money.

I bet e-points against Manny and I like him.
That's good enough. If you think he will lose then you should bet against him. Just because you like him or he is your favorite doesn't mean he can't be beat.
Never i'm no turn coat!!!
Everyone can be beat. I have favorite fighters but I don't let that blind my judgment. If I think my favorite is going to lose and I can make good money I will, and I did in my case.
