i hear a lot of talk about nonito possibly eclipsing pac in terms of achievement in the forseeable future.
this is highly debatable.
what isn't debatable is the fact that nonito seems to be(at least for now) garnering universal acclaim among an overwhelming majority of posters on this site, including flomos and known pac/pinoy bashers alike.
i always believed that the pac hate was generally directed towards the pactards and if they weren't as fanatic as they've exhibited on this site, there would have been a lot less pac bashing which may have resulted in a more tolerable nsb.
in the absence of obvious nonito fanboyism(so far), i believe ppl are being very objective and actually accepting of the fact that they are witness to a great fighter.
ppl, and i mean everyone not named xcaret and m.i.c., openly proclaim nonito as a great fighter and there was even a thread about ppl wanting to claim him as their own.
so my question is, is the unwillingness to accept pac as a great fighter a direct result of pactardation?
c'mon pac/pinoy haters give us your 2 cents.

A large part of the hate directed at Pac was due to his prior defeats of other boxers with large fan bases. While he was able to win over many of these fans eventually, a few can't get over the fact that their favorite fighters lost to him. Add to them those fans of other boxers who have yet to fight Pac but are either threatened by or eager at the prospect of a Pac fight with their guys.
Nonito's haters will most likely come from Montiel die-hards, Pactards who feel insulted at Nonitards' claim that Nonito is better, and Martinez fanboys who are angry at Sergio being bumped down the P4P list to make way for Nonito. The more popular he becomes, the more intense the hatred (although the fewer the haters).
only retarded people will hate on pacquiao....
problem is his hardcore "fans" trolling the internet and message boards... i just love it when "pactards" answers these "flomos" with facts and vice versa as well... the insecurity between these people are insurmountable...
its not about pacquiao or pinoy haters... its about the annoying pacquiao "fans"... some even posting sh!t as if they follow boxing since the 60's, while the truth is that they just start to watch boxing after seeing a series of pacquiao's local ads...
flomos only hate anyone that threatens wifebeater.
for example, when pac wasn't in trollweather's division, maytroller was a fan of pac's... and so were flomos.
unfortunately, nonito has surpassed wifebeater on some people's p4p lists, so flomos feel threatened of nonito.
same thing can be said for pactards, once this megafight was thought about, where were all the floyd haters? before pac, were all of you guys calling mayweather a chicken for not fighting cotto or margo? i highly doubt it. pactards created flomos imo. there were floyd fans and there were manny fans, but once dlh got his ass kicked by both of em, and thoughts started bubbling, bandwagons were created, and thats when this **** started....

i dont think anyone really hates pacquiao, people just hate his fans. i sometimes get aggravated at the ignorance of some paclovers, ill admit it, but i dont hate pac, i actually root and bet on him. thing is when something becomes popular and gets to be overwhelming, especially where topics get discussed, people tend to get sick of it (seeing the same topic again and again). posters who talk about him all the time and claim he is god with insulting other fighters is what makes people mad, from what i seen. it usually starts with people dissing other fighters and then replies dissing pac. the other reason is the mainstream audience he attracts, people that dont know boxing or have been interested in it until he was a star in it. arguing with no knowledge can really trigger hatred...
i dont think nonito will reach pac's level. pac has captured stardom facing really big ****in names, i dont see really commercial named stars in the divisions above nonito, just my opinion though..i think if nonito did capture mainstream succes like pacman, there would be nonito bashers as well. (most likely for the same reason pac bashers exist)

I just never understood how people can hate a certain fighter just because of his fans
Seem retarded to me
very retarded indeed.
but it seems to be the case for most of his haters.

FINALLY!!! some sensible post that gathers all what this b*ll_sh*ting is all bout. You can hate pac coz of the wayward fans... but agreeing whit what is said bein a great fighter is another thing.... just like this guy
Im a pinoy fan hater.
I don't like how everyone is proclaiming him to be the best all of a sudden. People in another thread saying he's better then RJJ. **** is sickening. I like Donaire, but you Pinoy fans sure make it hard to stay that way. Only reason I don't like pac is the fans.
We dont care if you do or you dont.... but remember where the hate came from? its the mudslinging that came from haters that say theres no such thing as a good guy in boxing.... and they hate it when they are proven wrong.
It's stupid to hate a fighter because of annoying, nationalistic fans. As long as the boxer is skillful, talented, and fights legitimate opponents then I'll be a fan and I don't mind if he gathers up racist fans.
perfectly understandable.
you're not the target crowd of this thread then.

Interesting observation. Hmm, I'm gonna have to agree. A lot of folks are turned off on Pac simply because his fans act like damn fools sometimes. I mean, if most of us are honest, there's really not much to hate about Pac himself. I mean, I remember some people hating on him for taking the high road when responding to Floyd's FB/Twitter post. Really? You hating because he's too nice? I think its his fans, Bob Arum, and his team that garner the most hate and it gets directed toward Pac himself. Pactards do get a bit out of hand sometimes, but you gotta admit, a big reason Pactards act the way they do is because they are reacting to the dumb **** Floyd does.

i believe this myself.
cause how the fukk can you hate a fighter like pac?
it just makes no fukkin sense.
he's a very entertaining fighter that fights like a gladiator who gives everything he's got in each and every fight.
a type of fighter that you would pay to see.
i never really got the hate towards him unless it's all directed towards his 'avid' fans.
I don't understand the question, I guess I'm not a pachater?
no you're not.
but i heard kadyo is a closet pac hater who rocks a floyd desktop wallpaper.
he should be able to get this thread.
