Well what facts do we have about the percentages these promoters get from their fighters? As far as my knowledge goes, I only know that Bob Arum makes 27% from Pacquiao's purses. I don't know how much DLH makes from his fighters, or how much Don King makes from his fighters. And I also don't know if Arum charges all of his fighters 27% off their purses.
Arum's biggest money fighters are Pacquiao, Margarito, Mosley, Pavlik and Cotto. His potential big stars or Donaire, Lopez, Gamboa, Benavidez, Chavez Jr, Rigondeaux, and Rios. But potential is just potential, you have to keep winning and winning in order to reach your potentials.
GBP's biggest money fighters are Hopkins, Marquez, Amir Khan, Juan Diaz, and Winky Wright, they obviously lack in big money fighters but they are very rich in young talent/potential big money stars: Saul Alvarez, obviously the biggest potential star out of GBP/Top Rank/and Don King he needs to stop getting babied though, Marcos Maidana, a win over a future HOFer Erik Morales should put his name up there for bigger fights no matter how shot Morales is, Victor Ortiz has everything to be a big star just lacking some names on his resume, Guerrero-Katsidis, big things can happen for the winner of this fight at LW, Abner Mares one of the best Bantamweights right now, James Kirkland needs to bounce back first but he has potential, Erislandy Lara, great amateur background and also has potential to be a big star, Chris John is in a division that has about 9 other good fighters we'll see if the top fighters fight each other but it's hard when some of the top guys belong to Top Rank, Jorge Linares he was knocked out in 1 round, he needs to bounce back first. Those are the most popular potential big stars GBP has.
Then there's Don King who has a bunch of shot fighters like Mayorga, Spinks, I think Solis the Heavyweight i'm not sure and he supposedly ripped off a lot of fighters like Tyson, Witherspoon, but also a lot of Don King fighters claim to have made big money with him including Trinidad and Mayweather although not a King fighter talks good about Don King but I don't buy it. I honestly don't know much about Don King's current fighters list.
Where' Mayweather LOL, he's more richer than all them fools. You don't hear... Oscar,'MONEY',Dela Hoya...Bob,'MONEY,'Arum...Don,'MONEY',King
WTF can I not get into a conversation without dealing with bullshit~
I'd bet that King has plenty of money stashed away so he didn't have to pay taxes on it.
For sure, if I had ones total assets I would choose Arum's no doubt.
If I had to pick between their secret vaults I would pick King because he seems the sort to just have loads of cash sitting there like Scrooge McDuck.
Arum certainly has the most net worth.
I would think King probably has the most liquid cash flow though.
Where's Mayweather LOL, he's more richer than all them fools. You don't hear... Oscar,'MONEY',Dela Hoya...Bob,'MONEY,'Arum...Don,'MONEY',King
Bottom line...Arum is Jewish while the others aren't. Not trying to be racist or anything but Jewish people know how to invest and keep the money that they make.....and Arum has made plenty of it.
Who do you think is the richest between: Don King, Bob Arum, or Oscar de la hoya?
king, for one, his name says it all........ second, he's paid off more real judges and juries than anyone can shake a stick at, even taken them and their families on cruises, and acts and moves without impunity...........
only money coupled with real power can do that..........
Arum by far.....King has been sued too many times and has been locked out by other promoters for a while. De La Hoya.....well, he has had to pay off too many hookers to stay quiet.

Arum keep saying GBP is going down but I seen this a while back.
Now the sexy boxer is trying to transform his 100-watt smile and record in the ring into a business empire focused on the fast-growing Hispanic market. That's the fight plan devised by Team De La Hoya, a group of Los Angeles investors who intend to take Oscar where no boxer -- or Hispanic athlete, for that matter -- has gone before. The plans include restaurants, health clubs, storage facilities, even a bank with De La Hoya as lead investor and headliner.
In April, De La Hoya's Golden Boy Enterprises announced a $100 million deal with L.A. developers Highridge Partners to build commercial and residential real estate projects in the Hispanic inner-city neighborhoods of Southern California.
And else ware I heard he was going to open a chain of bank in south america.

Yes, the solution to many "on top" guys later problems is to know when to quit. Fortunately, Boxing Promotion is NOT one of these, so we are still able to look forward to Arum's great future fight promotions (I hope).
Yes, in WW1 day, and especially in the opposing Air Forces, they seemed to have a sort of "club" where they showed the utmost respect for one another, at all times except when in actual battle against each other. Those days are long gone, aren't they, but we still have traces of this "cameradie" in contact sports like boxing, and even MMA (which I hurridly pass over) which I don't really class as a true "sport".
Still even with boxing promotion Top Rank is on top but GBP is certainly gunning for them hard (their success varies depending on who you talk to but once you reach that apex there is only one way to go and others will always be trying to speed you up in that direction.
In general boxing it is something you always need to keep in mind because no one can stay on top of the sport forever, as a gambler that is always something I try to keep in mind and look for when the worm is about to turn on guys if you will.
This is the first time anyone brought up that quote to me and it has been there for a long time.
Yea I know about Eddie Rickenbacker and WWI aces, if you are that well known like Rickenbacker, The Red Baron people will be gunning for you and eventually your luck will run out and someone will get the better of you.
It is a great quote because of how true it is, once people start truly gunning for you that is the beginning of the end unless you quit because you will not be able to stay on top forever..

I agree... Arum has been around forever and is STILL making big fights
Racism has ALWAYS been around , becauee there have always been ignorant, stupid people. And, as far as AntiSemitism is concerned (which I am very concerned about, having lived through WW2 and BEFORE) it is again getting MORE acceptable, and worse, all over the world, reminiscent of what it was like in the time leading up to the Holocaust.
There are already Jewish communities leaving certain cities and localities, even countries, en masse particularly in Europe, because of this. People used to say ...NEVER AGAIN"... but sadly, and I MEAN sadly, I don't believe that.
