Why is it if you make a thread along the lines off : Retired Boxer -V- Active Boxer, The vast majority will always pick the retired boxer to beat the active boxer?
For instance in Ali days, People said Marciano -V- Ali, Marciano would win they even made a computer simulation. If you make a thread about any retired boxer -V- an active boxer the majority will always pick the retired boxer no matter what.
I think its a false notion that retired boxers were somehow better than current active boxers because they went 15 rounds instead of 12 baring in mind they did not have the kind of strength and conditioning then that they did now.
So argue against my previous post.I'll be happy to tear down ANY argument ANYBODY can come up against it. There are many more factors that need to be considered.Only the blind or close minded will refuse to accept them.
Absolutely.
So why even bother, bro?

Maybe its because active fighters are more vunerable and people do not want to commit there opinion to the active boxer incase they eventually get exposed.
I like hold guys because they still hold a record. 49-0 still standing. Longest championship still standing, Most KO's still standing, Most wins still standing. Simply put these are the records I give a **** about, and no one today is even ****ing close.
Yeah.
Records are all about talent and they have nothing to do with the talent of the competition. Who gives a **ck who you have fought if you have a 46-0 record, like Valuev once had. **ck yeah!
Lol, Im close minded? You still can't answer the questions. Either you can't, or you know your argument has shit the bed. :lol1:
I feel sorry for you.. the world must be a small place for you but its ok because you wont notice what your missing.
Your just so close minded you cant see the answers when they are right in front of you.. your just to worried about defending your own argument insted of looking at the situation from all the angles (guess you didnt evolve or something). I dont think all boxers today are better then all the boxers of the past. But I do think as a much more advanced society Humans of all sorts have grown.

You can't handle the facts nor answer the questions.

You're ignoring the facts and trying to argue. If you can't come correct you shouldn't be in this conversation.I've asked several questions that STILL have not been answered, bub.
You cant handle the truth.
ive explained that already in several posts.
there's nothing i can do if you are suffering from senility or dementia due to old age & nuthuggery of old school fighters.
Ok, what posts? Prove me a liar.
I said viewers.. calm down bub.

Its a FACT boxing had more professional fighters and gyms in the 50's compared to today. Do your homework and I'll be more inclined to educate you than embarrass you on this my friend.

one more thing,
basketball got better as more black players started playing.
I would like to comment on this because of this myth of african americans are better. Its not that they are better but just have a higher percent based of athletic people. (more athletic ppl but not better) This may be due to the survival of the fittest when only strong africans were taken to america to do labor, thus weeding out the weak. The best of any race are even.
This seems really iffy.. because as a percent the popularity of boxing may have gone down but with the worlds population tripling since the 50s boxing might have more viewers today.

ive given you examples in every single sport. boxing is no different. Ill end with this:
Athletic Evolution.
good nite now.
You've given examples yet ignored the fact that field improvements, equipment improvements and PED's do not make one athlete Superior in his god given gifts. I'd like to hear your explanation for that.Or are you to tired to actually have a fact based debate?
its quite simple really. how many point guards in the 50s & 60s hell the 70s were throwing down alley oop dunks?
how many do that now?
you can also take every bill russell & wilt chamberlain statistical brilliance with a huge grain of salt.
Learn how to answer the questions instead of ducking them. Basketball has gotten better through popularity. Boxing was MUCH more popular in era's past. This is a FACT!

Oh well. Whenever someone argues that old fighters are better, I'll just watch the rumble in the jungle and see 2 guys punching like amateurs.
Foreman is sooo much better than Klitschko, just look at him. He does not throw those annoying accurate jabs, devastating short hooks or quick and powerful straight punches. Instead of those he throws classy wide hooks and manages to miss a guy who just hangs on the ropes and holds. Talk about great footwork of Ali.
Also you should not forget how much better Foreman moves at the ring. Just look at him go! He just walks toward his opponent, that is something what modern boxers can't do!
