doing the chicken dance and rolling on the floor is one hell of a style
That was a monstrous shot. Shocking, and Monstrous. My respect goes to Fernando for having the heart to get up from that.
montiel has always been one of my favorite smaller fighters, he's a big puncher, stand in the pocket, has great poise, and gets awesome leverage on his punches, which is deceiving because a lot fo the time they look like arm punches.
i'm hyped about this fight tomorrow, i'm a big fan of both guys and usually i root for the guy that i've been a fan longer of(montiel) but in this fight, i just want to see a quality scrap at highest level that these guys bring to the ring.
LMAO
the Hasegawa fight = the only Montiel fight this smelly ass commie kid has ever seen
Or maybe im using his last fight against a good opponent who doesnt even measure up to Donaire in pretty much every category.
You cant dispute anything i said so you immediatly start acting like a *** throwing out insults and giving me a red K. Denial is not just a river in egpyt.
He simply has too many flaws. He swings and misses way too much with hooks and if you watch the Hasegawa fight, he cannot fight on the inside and kept getting countered
It will be good while it lasts but i think Montiel is going down

He is really awkward. He has a very low center of gravity that when he throws his punches it looks like there is no power behind it. He is also a very underrated counterpuncher.
Why do you keep naming the stances after Fight Night? Some people may not know what you're talking about hahaha.
I don't play Fight Night....and I didn't mean for it to come out as a stance.
I was just pointing out that Nonito is vastly accurate, and I used an analogy to describe his accurateness.
in the 3rd rd vs hasa montiel got timed real bad. i look for it to happen tomorrow. his pop gives him a good chance in this fight but nonito has a similar style with better physical gifts (excepot maybe the chin)

Well if he has the ring I.Q. he claims to have, and options. I am certain he is aware of how flawed it is, to use his check hook vs. sharp shooter from the get go.
I believe Fernando will revert to boxing, gunning to land hard shots on the body. If he senses Nonito slowing down, he will attempt to land his left hook, or right uppercut.

He's pretty powerful, but he has a lot of trouble against faster fighters. Hozumi was catching him with very fast counter punches, especially on the inside.
Love watching him fight and will be rooting for him to win...I'm just a bit worried that where Montiel's shots tend to be quite wide, Donaire's straighter punches might nail KOchulito straight down the middle again and again.
Will be interesting to see what happens if/when Montiel lands something big on Donaire's chin...

His style is odd, he goes from text book -to- Hitman stance. A by product of melding a Boxer/Puncher styles?
Yes, I think that's a good way to explain his style -- which is a pretty damn good style to be honest. If he can beat Donaire tomorrow night, he will win a lot of fans.
