Why Is Ortiz Fight For A Title At 147lb?

Outside of Floyd and Pac who else in the WW division is really any better? Collazo maybe? And thats not saying much!!!! Ortiz is hands down the most skilled boxer Berto has faced yet so whats the fuking beef?? Plus Ortiz is a puncher and Berto doesn't exactly have a granit chin! Bertos gonna take some punches in this fight thats for sure!!! Maybe that again he is fighting a fighter comming from 140.

yeah his trainer told him to retreat to a smaller fighter when he knocked him down multiple times........ oh wait. He told Ortiz to take it easy on the 4th round...he shoulda been able to finish Peterson that round...

GBP suggested the fight to Ortiz...they didn't make it a mandatory fight...Ortiz said he's down for the title fight since Dibella entertained the idea of this match up...and for people saying "this is not a video game you can't just jump weight classes". I give Ortiz very little chance in this fight. Berto at 147 will hit comparatively to what Ortiz felt from Maidana at 140, and we know how that turned out. Plus Berto is much faster than Maidana.

Say what yall want, but it was Cotto (or if you're a PR lover, it was Arum) who turned down interest in a Berto vs Cotto 154 lbs title fight. Yall have to realize that that the haters to this fight are fans who favor TR fighters...is it cause they're better than mostly everyone's? Maybe. But the point is, is that here you have two fighters from two different promoters willing to pit their fighters against each other. Much more than you can say for TR who has shown that all they care about over there (more than the usual promoter) is in house fights. Don did it all the time, but at least his fighters were competitive in their matches. to use an analogy.... right now TR is the bully and the nerds gotta team up to beat the bully

They're rolling the dice on getting Ortiz a title shot in a division he's never fought in before while the whole time Ortiz is renowned for his inability to defend himself. Makes no sense at all. Not even from a business stand point. They're obviously banking on Ortiz's power, but you can't win big fights without defending yourself as well.
