They were taller fighters with defense n a jab...Mosley will have alot more opportunities with Pac. I don't expect him to win but he will have a chance to land something big
Floyd beats him in 2001 too.
I dunno about that.. if mosley hurts floyd like he didn in the 2nd round, I think the 2001 version of mosley could possibly end the fight early.
but definitely the version of mosley that beat dlh would have a really good chance to beat wifebeater.
Lets keep it real, Mosley struggles with Black fighters who know how to box, I dont cinsider his fight with Cotto a struggle, that fight was more a draw, Shane likes his chances vs Pac because of his limited boxing and defensive skills. Thats all he's saying in interviews, Pac...unlike Mayweather, is hittable. So therefore he's going to do a Rocky 6 and just go for power shots.
yeah... just throw the rican under the bus...
forrest and winky also had good size advantages over mosley. that's why mosley had trouble with mora as well who is bigger than mosley.
against wifebeater, he was just outclassed.

115-113 on 2 scorecards and that was in MSG, Cotto's second home. You know when you get close scores in a fighters hometown, the scores would have been even closer in neutral grounds. If the fight was in Vegas, Mosley could have won on the cards or the better decision would have been a draw. People who say "Cotto outboxed Mosley" or outright say Cotto won that fight, need to watch the fight again and actually score it. Only time I saw Cotto outboxing Mosley was in rounds 5, 6, and 7. It was back to back action from 1-4, from 8-12 it was just Cotto running and Mosley being the aggressor. Cotto did attempt to outbox Mosley while running but he failed and was getting caught with a lot flush shots.
Mosley has been past prime for a long while now.. but it doesn't change the fact that he had Floyd (best defensive fighter of this era) hurt. Seeing as how Manny has no defense (some say) Mosley definitely has a shot. Though Mosley will be the heavy underdog... this is boxing and anything can happen. There is a reason why fights actually take place and fantasy fights are exactly that.
Mosley has a shot........literally. We've seen how Manny reacts when he's been hurt or stunned, he fights back. If he does that against Mosley he could be in trouble. Mayweather survived the storm because he's defensive minded and had to hold and take his time to recover and he did just that.
Dude.....I'm so tired of hearing about the mora fight...last time, mora was the much bigger fighter and he ran all night...it takes 2 to tango. How can u look good against someone who refuses to fight?
By outboxing him.
I don't think Mosley is shot but when his opponent is faster, younger, stronger he usually fails to outbox the other guy or simply apply a strategy to beat him on points.

It's not embarrassing or unusual to get outboxed by PBF. It isn't embarrassing or unusual to look like shit against Mora either. Shane isn't as far gone as he's getting made out to be. There's lesser fighters he could still beat, but not Pac. He'll retire after this fight.
mosley sucks against defensive boxers.
forrest was a very balanced boxer he did everything good including defense. winky is a defensive peekaboo specialist.
mora is a potshotter/runner.
wifebeater is a defensive genius.
even cotto can be slippery when he wants to be and when he isn't pressured relentlessly.
I'm not saying mosley is gonna beat pac, I'm just saying that against less defensively adept boxers, mosley has alway done well.
Did not expect you to call Mayweather a genius. You have been surprising me recently.

The Roided Mosely too.
Heck Cotto beat easily Mosley until he ran.
I actually scored that fight a Draw.
It was at MSG though where it is known that Cotto gets close fights in his favor. The beggining of the fight was very close, with both fighters catching eachother with clean shots. The mid rounds was Cotto's, the last 4 rounds was just Cotto running and Mosley being the aggressor.
If the fight was in a neutral venue, I think it would have been at least closer on the scorecards or a Draw.
It's not just the performance against Mayweather, it's also the Mora fight.

Mosley is not shot, I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. I would say he's old and past prime definitely. 39 in boxing is old.
Most really good fighters are done by age 34-35. Fighting over that age, we usually see them just getting badly hurt. Jones was completely done in the 1st Tarver fight and he some how had the energy to win, I believe he was 35 in that fight, then he kept fighting and look what has happened to him. Chavez Sr., it depends when you think he was done, a lot of people will say he was done when DLH stopped him but you look at his resume he was stopping everyone before the DLH fight and then after the DLH fight he also won every fight until the rematch with DLH. He was 32 when he first lost to DLH. I would say he was maybe past prime, or just not at his best to beat DLH. 32 is a pretty young age to become past prime but with over 100 fights I can understand a fighter being past it in his early 30s.
Hopkins, Vitali Klitschko, and Mosley are just some of the few exceptions of good active fighters who can fight over 35 and still put up a fight with the top guys. Hopkins is 46 though so he's on another level.
