anybody expecting Montiel to pull an upset

I don't think it's an upset. So I have Montiel winning this fight.

Im surprised Montiel is considered the underdog in the first place. The guy has beaten much better opposition, and in common opponents has looked better than Donaire. not that any of that matters on fight night.

I would not consider a Kochulo win as an upset. This fight is a tossup.

Montiel is extremely underrated by these boards but I still can't pick against Donaire. I think his chin will stand up.

there is really no clear favorite to win for this fight and montiel winning is not really an upset because his chances are still good. i have donaire winning though...got 10 million on him if there are any takers.

Donaire will likely win, but nobody should count Montiel out. He's tough, he punches hard, and Donaire's chin will get tested.

Montiel beating Donaire isnt an upset. This fight is pretty even, and while I slighty favor Donaire, the fact that Nonito has holes in his D, I wouldn't be shocked if Fernando stops him.

For me this fight's got no upset in the horizon, coz both fighters are evenly matched and it's gonna be 50/50 going to the fight (depending on how they look on weigh in-day). Both fighters highly touted and there's gonna be fireworks. Though I have Donaire winning by KO! :boxing: although I agree with you bro, I think around here a their will be a lot more talk on Nonito being overrated etc ....

Donaire can be caught. He got hit with some decent shots in his last fight. But its unclear if he was taking chances becuase aware his opponent didn't have much punching power. Donaire is definitly fighting the most dangerous opponent of his career. If they were same size I would favor Montiel. But that's not the case. So I favor Donaire, but give Montiel a good punchers chance.
