Prior to the Maidana fight, Alex Ariza was always paid by Roach. This payment arrangement is confirmed in one of HBO's 24-7 episodes where Ariza tells us his story of how he first got involved with Roach.
For some reason, this process changed recently. Roach informed Ariza he can no longer pay him through his salary, and that he (Ariza) would need to arrange contracts on his own with fighters. Now this is where the problem occurred.
It's has always been Khan's management team who dealt with working out the contracts for Amir, and it was them who Ariza needed to go to in order to get a contract created so he could get paid for his services. However, Ariza went straight to Khan himself. During the final week of preparation leading up to the fight, the fighter has his mind focused on the task at hand . The last thing he needs to worry about is sorting out a contract, when it's not even his job to do so. Khan's team obviously found out about this, and were annoyed that Ariza went behind their back and tried to work out a new contract with their fighter with out going through them first.
according to ariza khan ordered someone to steal the signed contract(s) after khan had already signed
he did an interview on leave it in the ring boxing radio breaking down the whole now obviously it's only one side of the story but can't really see why he would fabricate a story like that
he no loner works with khan or chavez jr but he's still working with manny
Wow ariza at it again. It's always someone else's fault with this guy.
As if anyone would believe this in 2013 after all that's just come out.
Regardless of who makes Amir Khan's decision for him, the legal system says that a verbal agreement is as good as a written contract. Of course it's always good to have that written one when dealing with dirty people like Team Khan.
Also, contract law lays out rules about when a person "has a reasonable expectation of payment for services rendered".
In this situation any court is going to back Ariza and reject Khan's retarded arguments.
Agreed, plus Team Khan are known for being cheap bastards. They had 4 guys sharing a hotel room which was only meant for 2 people, they will do anything to cut costs while raking in all the money.

Team Khan should just pay him and move on since there is no future in the relationship at this point.
I don't really see the benefit of dragging it out, since if he did work without getting paid he is going to get some skrill from the judge anyways on top of court fees and lawyers.

He said he approached team khan a few times about the contract and they kept putting it off, so eventually ariza went to amir to get it sorted. I haven't seen the article yet but your interpretation seems a little biased. I'l apologise if im wrong.
