Let's say you were getting a mandatory shot against the #1 HW in the world for a chance to get 3 titles off him and you were getting paid $2.5 million, 10 times more money than you have ever seen in your past fights. There are no rematch clauses and your promotional team lost the bid because they bid half of the Champ's bid, so in the end it actually worked out well for you because now your share of the purse is twice as much. According to the mandatory rules, the champ gets to dictate small details about the contract, and he tells you that you must stay in such and such hotel, but he was paying for the hotel stay for you and your whole team. Would you ditch the shot at 3 belts and $2.5 million because you didn't like the hotel you were staying in?
I didn't know so many queens posted on this site, so far 8 people care more about the color of their panties than getting $2.5 million dollars and a shot at 3 belts.
LOL @ you twisting what people are saying.
LOL @ you continuing to use the "panty" remark, like it's funny (the fact that you're the only one laughing, should tell you otherwise).
LOL @ your obsession with each and every thing that 2 other men that don't know you exist do.
Basically... LOL @ you.

I think it is probably more of a reflection of your popularity then anything else

K2 gets to choose the hotel because it won the pursebid. How do people not understand this. POVETKIN GETS THE ROOM FOR FREE....FOR FREE. If you dont like it, you can pay for itself, maybe he could use the 1.7 million more he got from K2 winning the bid to pay for his own hotel room of his choice and his own food. K2 chooses specific rooms because they usually have package deals with different hotel companies. Theyre not just paying for Povetkin's room, theyre paying for literally dozens of rooms, some hotels dont have room for all of that, and lets say they call two 5 star hotels up and say, "hey we need 24 rooms for 2 weeks, how much" and one says 25k, and the other says 100k...what the hell do you think a company will choose? K2 is a business, the terms of the contract said it had to be a luxury hotel, its not a motel 6, but K2 still has to make back its money. Again if Sauerland won the bid they could choose the rooms for Klitschko.
Look under K2's bid Povetkin would get 2.5 mil
Under Povetkin and Sauerlands bid...he'd get 800k.
Again he has 1.7 mil EXTRA under k2 that he can use to buy a freaking mansion and hire a gourmet chef for a month.
He pussed out. How is he even trying to argue this, anyone who thinks he didnt ***** out is just a hater or is plain ignorant.
Great job, I get it, but the idiots and the half-wits will never understand this. The only way I can see someone still arguing is if they half-retarded.

I understand it perfectly. You're just a moron, and are completely missing the point.
What is the point? That Povetkin's trainer first came out and said "he is not ready" and then Povetkin talking about moving back to the amateurs?
Or is the point that a mandatory, if the fight goes to a purse bid, has to comply with things like glove choice and other minor detail?
Or is your point that it's ok for a mandatory, who has been sitting on that spot for over 2 years, to duck a shot at $2.5 million and 3 belts because he doesn't like his hotel room?
You defending Povetkin's blatant lying and ducking by coming up with stupid excuses that don't make sense is idiotic. You are being a thick idiot.
Well the word is that Haye and Potvekin are going to be facing eachother, and as one other poster put it, the winner of that fight will have a bigger win than anyone either Klit bro has ever faced and beaten.
Coming from a guy that doesn't even know how a mandatory purse bid process works in boxing....
Your dumb@ss believes Povetkin but you can't even remember what Povetkin's trainer said last year and you are talking about attention spans?
You are too stupid to argue with.

You have the attention span of a fucking donkey.

Settle down. Haye was just the first and best example that came to mind of a boxer other than a Klitschko screwing with the opposition, if that's how you see it.
I'm sure there are other examples, but that is a good one as Barrett had a lot to say about it publicly, and Monte is one of the nicest guys in the sport, so he doesn't complain for no reason.
Then I would argue in his defense, as well.
the hotel room was probably just an excuse, but wlad shouldn't be a cheap ass like team khan.
How is Wlad a cheap @ss when they bid twice as much as Saureland did for the fight? If Saureland won, Povetkin would have gotten paid $1.25 million, because of Wlad's bid, Povetkin was due $2.5 million. Doesn't seem like a cheap ass to me when Povetkin's own promoter was outbid 2 to 1 by K2, a move that benefited Povetkin more than anyone else.
You don't know sh*t apparently. So Povetkin was sitting on a mandatory shot for 2+ years, gets a $2.5 million purse and a chance at 3 belts, and he turns it down because he didn't like his hotel room? Oh and don't forget that intially his trainer came out and said "Povetkin is not ready", so if you are going to believe Povetkin now, then you must have sh*t for brains.
You have the attention span of a fucking donkey.

Because you're acting like K2 is the only outfit to do these things.
Boxers never used to publicly air these kind of gripes, but things have changed.
And your immediate defense is babbling on and on about Haye, who has nothing to do with the conversation. I don't give a rats ass about David Haye.
Once again, it's not negotiations, it's a mandatory purse bid process, two totally difirrent things. It seems like you don't know the difference.
According to the sanctioning body rules, the champ gets to dictate those small things to the challenger, especially since the champ also owns the promotional company that won the purse bid, and they will be paying for Povetkin's stay at the hotel. If Saureland won the bid, Povetkin would be staying in the hotel they told him to stay at, except that Saureland bid half as much as K2 did. Povetkin got twice as much money from K2's bid than from Saureland, and he is complaining about the hotel room? You have to remember that Povetkin is a slave to Saureland already, it's not like he is a free man, so him spouting about "slave" this and "slave" that, he is already a slave to Saureland, just like the Hayefaker is when he signed a 3 fight option with them.
You don't seem to understand what I'm saying. I just don't think there's anything wrong with a person having an issue with another person telling him when and where to eat, when he's going to be training to fight that person.
I know that it doesn't give you the right to control every aspect of a mans life. I know that Wlad is the only person that makes such pathetic demands. And I know there's absolutely nothing wrong with his opponent having a problem with it.
You should leave the boxing forum, and go start a "got my head up Wlad's ass" forum.
You don't know sh*t apparently. So Povetkin was sitting on a mandatory shot for 2+ years, gets a $2.5 million purse and a chance at 3 belts, and he turns it down because he didn't like his hotel room? As I said, Haye did the same thing to Barrett, and Ruiz didn't even bother going to London for the final presser, so he mostly avoided getting the treatment Haye gave Monte.
Why do you keep bringing up Haye? Just because I dislike the way Wlad negotiates, doesn't make me a Haye fanboy.
Jesus Christ.. there is a such thing as "boxing fans". Not everyone is a fanboy of an individual. I can't fucking stand David Haye.
Yeah, just ask Monte Barrett: Hayemaker productions had him holed up in a London flophouse before the Haye-Barrett fight.
Then it's up to Monte Barrett to take issue with it.
This isn't me defending Haye, or Povetkin, or anyone else.. I can't stand Haye. And I don't dislike the Klitschko's.... but they're divas in every sense of the word.
And because he was trying to pick where and what he was allowed to eat.
If you're going to quote it, do it right.
Either way.. there's nothing wrong with not wanting to let another man control your entire life. What's sad, is that Wlad actually WANTS to control that much. What's sadder than that, is that you're defending it.
It's fight negoatiations... Wlad is acting like his fucking wife.
