So where does he go from here?

Collazo a free agent
********* was informed moments ago that former world champion Luis Collazo (30-4, 15 KOs) is officially a free agent as of 12:01AM today. That is when Collazo’s contract officially expired with long time promoter Don King. Collazo has not fought since June of 2009. “I’m just hoping for the best possible situation for Louie and a very good 2011 for him,” stated Nirmal Lorick who is Collazo’s trainer/advisor. Lorick has worked with Collazo since Luis was 11 years old.
Collazo could make some noise at 147 or 154... Just from a personal standpoint he can still make a little money and give us good fights in the process... Paul Williams, Cintron, Angulo, Berto, Alvarez, JCC, Margarito, Cotto, *Clottey*, especially Clottey... or even when some 140 pounders (Khan, Maidana, Alexander, Bradley, Ortiz) make the move to WW
Didnt see your thread but ya great news 154 is so loaded.Wouldnt mind seeing Cintron Colllazo after Luis gets a tune up or 2
I don't think he'll be going to 154. From what I heard, that was an excuse to get out of the Aydin fight.
collazo isn't doing anything in the game, he should just hang 'um up.
What makes you say that? I wouldn't exactly call the welterweight division stacked. The number 3 guy in the division is someone Collazo arguably beat.
I think if he stays on course, gets his hunger back, a new promotional team, with a string of tune-ups he'll be back in title contention.
