yea he quit, but i could honestly not give a sht, still watch his next fight, and possibly many more to follow, considering he's winning and fighting some good guys
i dont like 2 knock a fighter 4 quiting when my fav has done the same b4 but this was on a different level. it was kinda pathetic. not 1x did alexander tell the ref or the doc that he wanted 2 continue. he just stood there waiting 4 them 2 call an end 2 the fight.
I don't see Cotto and Alexander's situation the same. Cotto literally could not bring his hands up. Cotto had given everything physically possible while Alexander had still in the fight physically, but didn't seem eager to go back in and want the win.

agreed, boxing's a tough game but as a PROFESSIONAL you shouldn't quit like that..
I hope you are not talking about Cotto quitting? Cotto is my favorite boxer ever and he never quit got beat by a cheat in Margarito and was simply beat by a better fighter in Pacquiao. He is the only fighter of this generation to never back down from the best and always fight the most dangerous and toughest opponents. Cotto is the most courageous fighter of his generation.
agreed, he got beaten up twice and still coming in strong...infact he might even fight the two guys that BEAT HIM UP again...now thats courage!
respect :boxing:

Hate to say it but i thought he quit too. Hope that some more years in the game will make him a better fighter.
Am not sure how mentally Alexander will recover. This is two fights in a roll his heart gave out. If he wasn't able to stand up at the most crucial part of his career, being a world champion, undefeated, and opportunity for bigger cash fights. What else could motivate you more then that. It will be much easier for him to quite now since there would be less at stake.
you just watched it now? real boxing fan.
Not everyone has their mama paying for their cable. BTW you calling someone on their integrity as a boxing fan while being a Chavez JR groupie lol........Yeah dude your the epitome of what a boxing fan is lol..............
