Bernard Hopkins is without question one of the smartest boxers of all-time and he will knockout Jean Pascal May 21st on HBO and I will enjoy watching it from my living room.
Pascal is going to avoid brawling with B-Hop and will make it a boring fight. Pascal by decision. :crying:
there is no way pascal could win a fight like that against hopkins, just for starters, hopkins not only out threw but out landed and overall out worked pascal, and because of that, NOT ONE JUDGE SCORED THE FIGHT IN HIS(pascals) FAVOR!!! two had it a draw and one had it for hopkins.
pascal needs to up his work rate and stand and trade, and he needs to get the better of those exchanges or otherwise he will lose and in poor fashion, unless the judges and ref come to his rescue again............
the only way pascal wins if he has the same set up as he did in their first match, home cooking with two knockdowns, only one was legit though, the ref gave pascal a gift with the first one.
Hopkins dominates this time.Because he isn't gonna get those kd's scored against him.But Pascal is a warrior & B-Hop isn't the best finisher out there.
Really thats Pascal's only shot, if he trys to box with hopkins he'll get schooled
totally agree with this.... Pascals best shot is to come out like steam train right from the opening bell and try and end it early... he doesnt wanna go into the late rounds with the executioner
I think Hopkins schools him clearly this time around, I thought he dominated last time but the knock downs really hurt his case--still shoud've won though. I can't see Pascal winning more than 2 rounds this go around, sorry Canadians y'all still have Bute (till Ward, Froch, or Hopkins take his soul).
agree with everything except Froch... people forget that Jermain Taylor made him look like a rank amateur for at least 10 rounds in their fight for the vacant WBC and had he held on for 15 more seconds he would have won.
Froch got heart, chin and stamina but a good boxer will make him look foolish.... Dirrell could've probably got the nod if they fought in Andre's hometown

thats the very reason he will not go for the KO. just like the taylor rematch
I don't mind the fight being in Montreal again.I believe Pascal lost respect and fans while Hopkins gained them.As long as there is a neutral ref and judges,no problem.Canada didn't screw Bernard, the 1st knockdown that was counted by the ref shouldn't have counted and the screwy judge Van der Wiele (who always scores for the hometown hero) (sp?) did play a major part in fvcking Bernard outta his goal.Hopkins will need to be careful for the first few rounds (even though the knockdowns didn't hurt him,he still has 46 year old legs and balance).Should be a great fight....Dawson on the undercard makes it that much better.
I think it is going to be at the same venue lol in quebec city because they brought in a lot of money and sold over 16,000 tickets. This is what Pascals promoter was saying.
