I literally think every person I know will be watching this fight if it happens I think it completely shatters Mayweather vs. De la hoya 2.4 million PPV Buys and is easily the biggest fight ever. I feel the world is just going to be watching this.
this will easily surpass 2.4 mill, it would be huge, even people who don't watch boxing want to watch this because its a huge sporting event not just a boxing event.
I think even with the proliferation of vid streams this fight will hit more than 2.4M. Streams are not reliable and many people wont want to miss this fight by watching streams.
Probably so... but its just my take.... honestly, i watched the Pac-Mosley & Khan-Maidana fights on live internet streams and not with PPV. Reason to be had is just simple.... cost me less than the PPV fee. A lot of us did that during the last two years mostly though due to work schedules hassles up the time to sit back on your couch at home watching with a lime or a booze on the right hand.
I for one for the record would love to see the *pings* light up in the PPV ratings with this fight. Its a milestone in boxing history worth the pay in live TV.
I dunno brothers, but with todays unrestricted video steams in the internet, and the prolific bootleg live TV access (also thru the internet)... its hard to sum up the math.
2007 was when that 2.4 hits happen, now times have radically changed... the internet being mostly to blame. If it did hit the numbers... its a hoorah for the boxing world. If it aint...well go blame the internet...

If showtime handles this it could easily surpass 2.4M PPV:boxing:
It will surpass may delahoya.... At the time may de la hoya was huge, but this.... This is just different... Because de la hoya was a name, but wasnt considered the best fighter in the world... Not only do mayweather and pacquiao have their brand names, they are also both equally the best fighters in the world, around the same age, in the same weight class..
Its different, its bigger... Way bigger.
This is the fight that even the entire MMA world will buy.

When De la hoya fought Mayweather the economy was great and streaming wasnt as big as it is today. Now everyone has high speed internet and knows the sites that provide links to streams except older people mainly. I dont think it does more than 2.4 mil unless there a epic build up to the fight.
Its gonna crush all ppv's of the past. This is the first time emotions got involved since leonard/hearns. One thing I can say is that both fighters fans go hard for their guy. Tension will be so high, stomachs will be knotted up for atleast 3 to 4 rounds into the fight. Two or three fights will break out in the crowd prior to the fight. People will be walkin around with custom tees on. Man I cant wait. Its gonna be bigger than the Super Bowl. My house will be packed to capacity. Hell it was packed tight for Pacquiao/Cotto so for this one I'll have to open the front and sliding door.
I can imaging it's gonna be crazy where ever we watch the fight, the only reason I'm skeptical of it surpassing PBFVSDLH, it's because of streaming. When they set the 2.4 record, streamin was still in it's crawling stages.
Now streaming is an epidemic, I think it hurts the fight now. But I still expect the fight
to pass the 2 million mark.
Not as big as it was last year. Both fighters had the momentum of series of spectacular wins in 2009, which was a great setup for a 2010 showdown. But that is all gone now, since Pac has looked a little vulnerable in his last 2 fights, while Floyd was inactive for almost a year.
Trust me, its easy to say it wont be as big... But as soon as the contracts are signed, the date is set, and the first press conference happens.... The entire world is going to be talking about boxing.

Any momentum lost would be easily regained once both sides came to a unanimous agreement.
And this boxingscene would go down as the first website to ever explode.

I don't know if it'll pass the 2.4 mark but I know it will definitely hit 2 million. It would be awesome if it were to pass 3 million, both guys payday would be 60-70 mil pre tax.
I'm imagining a stadium full of 100K flomos and pactards, could get ugly.
Imagine the tension lol it would be like a war zone. TBH I think it easily breaks 2.4 million every person I know knows these two fighters. Girls, Moms, people who know nothing about Boxing know all about them.
