I`m wondering if there is a record in history of someone, a boxer, who made it on top but he really didnt start with money as the main motivator or being financially depressed. At present, it seems like most prominent figures they all started from being really poor and whatnot, making them decide to pursue boxing as a means of livelihood. Maybe Carl Froch is one of them. Anyone else, rich-guy-boxer-turned-famous out there?:boxing:
I think JMM has a degree in accounting and both the Klitschko's are well educated too. Middle class?
The Marquez brothers grew up poor in a dangerous part of Mexico City. I remember reading about how they were all cramped in a small home. Rafael even got robbed there a few years ago and thrown into the trunk of his career.
Oscar dela Hoya.
He grew up in the ghetto in East L.A.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.?
im not sure about floyd though. i kind of read from Arum`s comment before that when floyd was still on his stable and not yet a big name, the guy was financially troubled in a sense that he was like doing extra work aside from boxing just to pay the bills in his house.
froch?rich and well off before boxing??.reallyyy?.
he lived/s in nottingham,or shottingham as some people call it!.
well, i was under the impression that he was since he talks about running some sort of a real estate company at present (this was during his fight with abraham). so i thought figure he was kind of rich.:boxing:
