Money and career wise Top Rank is the place to go. They have 2 of the top 3 draws in boxing with Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao.Bboth of those guys would be options for Bradley either at 154 or 147. They also have the resources to bring with the CBS deal to elavate Bradley's name and turn him in to a household name.
GBP=fights against the other top 140 pounders are easy to make so he gets a good 3 or 4 paydays and then he can move to WW.
Top Rank=maybe a fight pac and well thats about it. And thats a big maybe!
It's really hard to say what he should do. There are advantages to signing with either of the two, and there are also advantages to him staying with a small promoter like Thompson Boxing...
he can fight Freddy Hernandez on HBO
I wish I could fight Freddy Hernandez for a couple mill. I think I'd survive 4 or 5 rounds too.. Berto should have thrown a catchweight on that fight, really pwn Boxing/HBO.
I commend Bradley for being a fighter and warrior at heart.....out of his last 5 fights, aside from that Abregu fight at 147, Bradley has been in coin-flip(50-50 fight before it goes down) battles and dominated all opposition. Repeatedly said he does not care about the "0" he just wants to fight everybody..Respect. I Made some real nice money off Timothy recently...However, at this point, Bradley must do whatever he can to get the fight with Khan, so I guess Top Rank it is.....Bradley seems intelligent, but Bob Arum is a snake not to be trusted.
The problem is he is 140 pounder and he doesnt hit hard enought to compete at 147 yet alone 154. Lets say he oes with top rank and looses to manny then what? Face natural welter weights who are much bigger and hit harder?
This
You pushing it way tooooo much with 154 talk. He got a lil to go before becoming natural at 147
Him and devon looked weak in that fight
The smartest thing to do is keep a free agent status for two fights. That way he can get the Pac fight and win or lose, then he can chose if he wants to sign with GBP, Top Rank or even go back to Shaw.
I would grab the Pac fight because he is obviously the front runner right now, and that's a cool 6-8 million right there.
