The best thing about this pairing is tha they have worked with each other before and they enjoy working with each other. More importantly Whitaker can physically show Zab new tricks to make his defense(which is already excellent) great.
Zab Judah should fight Kaizer MAbuza how Pernell whitaker fought Harold Brazier at 140. I can't wait to see the results of this pairing if Zab wins this fight he poses a big threat to Kahn and Bradley.
Pea can advice judah on anything but judah's problem has always been mental and stamina. Once it goes past 4 rounds judah starts to break down.
I respect sweet pea but he cant don anything about that.
its not his stamina trust me. its his mental like you say he shuts down when he cant get what he wants he just stops punching. he never looks dead tired or exhausted. he punches just as fast or hard in the end of the fight. his mental stamina is whats lacking. because he has no good corner no good training as in showing him tactics and a gameplan he didnt use before. he doesnt even work hard to be tired lol.
judah is only 32. your never too old. to learn some new stuff if you train hard enough and work on it in training. i mean judah is pretty sound skillfully its jsut minor things like actually setting his shots up and putting shots together really. and being more consistant. his footwork is good he has good defense its only a problem when hes not firing back. so pernell is jsut going to help him put a good gameplan together and get judah to use his talents like old days.

Judah's too old to be taught. Seriously there's nothing sweet pea can do at this point. And is sweet pea a trainer now? didn't know that.

give him another opinion a different look new advice. thats liek saying wtf is stewart gonna do with wlad. or cotto or whenever boxers get a new trainer to try and help them make wrongs into rights. i mean i know judah let everyone down on plenty of ocasions but his father was always in his corner and seem like when it comes down to it judah dont isten to him plus its like his father yoell dont train him hard or work on goals.
in his last fight with lucas he was telling him in round 2 to punch hold and steal rounds lol like wtf

ive been saying judah needed a new trainer a long time ago. his father wasnt pushing him or showing him anything new. when he had eddie mustafah he looked good knocking out santa cruz. he put his punches together he set his power shots up he wasnt just lookign for a counter. then he fire him and back with his father and he goes back to the same ol **** before. he never listens to his father and he never take advantage of his advantages. thats what pernell can show him and work on. and its up to judah to use what he has learned in the gym.
At this point in his career it isn't going to matter very much who trains Judah. I don't mean that as derogatory, it's just that Zab has been doing this too long now to change. He is who he is.
yeah, I saw an article or either Sweet Pea saying this but Ive also heard them doing this a few fights ago which he was supposed to help his father but IDK if it happened or not. They use to spar back in the day when Zab was a youngin and I think since then Sweet Pea has helped a few times but I expect to see much different except obvious stuff that Zab should know anyways. Pea always gets on him about going to his right instead of going to his left like he sometimes does. Pea says even he couldnt get away with circling left. He said Zab should always circle right and thats what killed him against Cotto
I don't really expect too much from it apart from Whitaker maybe reminding Judah of a few things when they were training together in the Duva camp in the mid to late 90s. Judah was basically Whitaker's protoge at the time.
Hasn't Zab trained with him in the past? I could have sworn they used to spar when Zab was younger.
Whiatker put Zab to sleep in a sparring session, which Zab has admitted in the past.

Not sure about that, but I know they are, or were at one point very close.
...what do you guys think about this???
I can't wait to see the results.
dont expect much. zab is no whitaker, no matter how much talent he used to have
