Does Floyd need to lose first to get a fight? Will Alexander be a young slick boxer that Manny targets next?
Floyd knows exactly what to do if he wants to fight Pac to
duck Martinez or possibly to avoid jail. Like Arum said, if Floyd
is shy of reaching out directly, he could just voice his intentions
to the press and Arum would make the call.
"Let me tell you something man, everybody wants to see this Pacquiao fight. If that would have happened already, they would have Floyd in jail." -- Floyd Mayweather Sr., September 27, 2010

you see, the problem with your question is that for a person to have a possibility of losing, he has to actually fight., which he's not supposedly even thinking about right now.

Hatton was coming off a PPV win, as you put it.
Seeing as PPV is a feature in your statement, why would Alexander fight Pac when he has never been on PPV, nor had Clottey for that matter, you don't quite make sense.

Let's see:
- Zab - Floyd prefers to take on Zab, who lost to a no-name Baldomir .... oh ya, there was no way out of fighting Zab (contract) ...lol!
- Baldomir - oh ya, the no-name had a title.....lol!
- Hatton - oh ya, he was KING at 140 but fought him at 147
- Marquez - P4P fighter but 2 (almost 3) divisions below 147
- Mosley - Had a title and was #1 WW .... but it was because he beat a guy 16 months before (brickless Margarito) that style was made better for an old Mosley. Oh and the inactive Mosley was almost 39. Like Floyd said himself BEFORE his fight, Mosley is "OLD".
Look at your fighter before criticizing other fighters! lol!

No, Floyd just needs to come out of his vacation. Just like he went on vacation when Cotto, Margarito, Williams and Mosley was starting to take control of the WW.
The difference is that Floyd would go on to fight the guy who beat Zab. Manny Pacquiao was just terrified at Zahir Raheem who dominated Erik Morales.
Additionally, Pacquiao also fought Oscar Larios who knocked out in 7 rounds by Israel Vazquez. Larios went up 2 weight divisions to fight Pacquiao and still went the distance with Pacquiao.
zahir fukking raheem..
:lol1:
you guys are really reaching. fyi, pac wasn't even a lightweight then.
dumbass.
I now see why these stupid ridiculous threads keep popping up.
These fanboys wanted Arum/Pac to literally beg for the fight. They
just can't seem to accept that it is up to Floyd to reach out and
initiate the negotiations this time around.
And you know what, they were actually expecting Pac to call out
Floyd again in the interview portion right after the Marg fight. Pac
didn't. Roach stayed away from it. Then, a few days later, Team
Pac announced that they're no longer pressing for it. "Floyd and
Haymon knows where to contact us," said Arum and Co., indicating
that they're sick of Floyd.
Recently, Floyd mentioned in his Fighthype interview that nobody
reached out from the Pac camp. So you could pretty much see that
these people want Team Pac to bend on their knees and beg for him
to sign up. And now he's lost. His fanboys are lost. The arrogance. :puke:
You hit the nail on the head, son.

enough with this garbage. Mayweather and his fans cant say **** until he comes out of vacation/retirement/hiding.
unless hes got a fight scheduled, yall just need to stfu.
Floyd fought Zab coming off a loss. I guess people forgot about that.
Four out of those Six guys mentioned were reigning WW champions from 2007 to 2010. Out of those 4 Floyd's fought 1 as where Pac's fought 3 (going on 4). In comparison, Sugar Ray Leonard TKO'd Tommy Hearns, but did that make Hagler vs Hearns any less anticipated? You know because...if you lose a fight, your career is automatically over in Boxing.

Hatton fights are on PPV over here.
All the other fights were not PPV in the UK.
And how does PPV affect a fighters performance.
Was Mosley vs Margarito PPV?
Fact is Mayweather just has to sign to fight Pacquiao and the fights happens.
But as you well know he still has his court case to deal with and he just goes on about taking vacations.
Does that sound like someone interested in the fight?
Oscar was coming off a win, Forbes
Hatton was coming off a win, Paulie
Cotto was coming off a win Clottey
Margarito was coming off a win, Garcia
Mosley was coming off a draw, Mora, a middleweight.
So well you got Clottey right.
All Floyd has to do is to grow a pair, step up and sign the contract and fight Manny.
Instead of making excuse after excuse and go on year long vacations when the name Pacquiao get mentioned in his presence.
U really need to reread my thread and repost your answer again buddy..

What's worse, fighting a guy after a loss or not fighting them at all?
