I don't truthfully think it's jealousy. Truthfully, I just think that it's a rivalry that is bound to breed idiots on both sides. However, I think a lot of it has to do with the size of the two countries. Mexico puts out more fighters, whereas Puerto Rican generally puts out only their best, simply due to the fact that only the best will survive. It's not as simple as quality or quantity, as both countries supply the sport with great fighters, but certainly Mexico has more fighters known in the United States. Especially, historically. At the end of the day, it's just a few idiots on both sides that think boxing proves anything other than which fighter is better on the night.

What are u bro? Both parents where born in the Bronx as was I. Grandparents where born PR. Never been myself. I don't get caught of with the Mexico vs PR wars. My favorite fighter for awhile was Israel Vazquez, Mares and Canelo are some current fav's of mine I was speaking about fans who use the the rivalry as an excuse to hate on other fighters or fans for no good reason.
