Fighters who you initially didnt like or respect but they won you over

Carl froch won me as a fan On the other hand Mayweather lost me as a fan

Carl Froch. I stopped disliking him after the Kessler fight, then started to like him after the Abraham-fight. Really enjoyed it when he went after Kalle Sauerland on the press conferances too, lol.

Has to be Paulie Malignaggi. I remember seeing him on Broadway Boxing and wished someone would knock his ass out. That dude really changed my opinion on him. Never quit against Cotto, Hatton, or anyone. Was there till the end. Says alot about him. Good fighter.

These fighters really forced me to take better notice after at first not appreciating them. Sultan Ibragimov when he manned up in the Wlad fight. Vitali, for showing a Kremlin sized heart in the Chris Byrd fight. Oscar Dela Hoya, for fighting and going for broke to the bitter end against Tito Trinidad. Victor Ortiz, for showing will power and fortitude in the Maidana fight. David Tua, for fighting till the final bell against Monte Barrett. Paul Briggs, for despite being retired he gave countrymen Danny Green all he could handle.

The politics between Khan's team and the other fighters, Ariza and Maidana's camp have nothing to do with Amir. Khan and Ariza are cool with each other, no hard feelings between them. Khan doesn't negotiate with fighters himself, his team takes care of that, he's not the one low-balling them, it's his team. Khan isn't to blame. Don't let the politics outside of the ring detract from Amir's skills and performances inside the ring. for Khan's sake, i hope he gets himself a new negotiating team. they're slowly ruining his career and the loss of Ariza is just the beginning of the end. if he can't see that now, he has no one to blame but himself. pity, since he has such great potential. he could reach the level of Pac and floyd if he takes care of this problem and continues to work hard on his trade.

I like his skills and upside but I keep hearing bad things about his team. I'm not sure if they're true or not. Still I'm starting to dislike him. On the other side Blake Griffin. When he was at Ok st. I didn't think he would be good in the NBA (like christian latener). Now I can only pray that he becomes a 76er somehow. Carl Froch - because I was a massive Calzaghe fan and I didn't like the way Froch would call out Calzaghe when he was a nobody (Froch was British or European champ back then). I became a fan of Froch after the Pascal fight. I expected Pascal to win, but Froch was immense. He's a very entertaining fighter, a warrior, ducks nobody and always fights the best. WAR FROCH!

Vic Darchiniyan! Cocky and got KTFO! After such a devistating loss didn't change his style or attitude and actually improved slightly from that loss to overshadow it with a string of impressive victories to become undisputed! Can't knock that!

Amir Khan. He was a cherry picking little brat but he's seem to have matured and he deserves a huge amount of respect for fighting the dangerous Maidana. I think that has a lot to do with Freddie, he doesn't just make fighters meet their potential, he also gives them confidence to take on the best.

bernard hopkins. i was mad as HELL after tito. know i think hopkins is one of the best to ever grace us.

Paulie Malignaggi. Used to hate his ass, but I don't see how anyone can disrespect him after his performance against Cotto. Warrior through and through.

Khan gained respect for and lost some respect for RJJ for not hanging up the gloves when he should have.

Katsidis, JMM, Pacquiao. Still not a fan of the latter two, but I respect their skills.

Mayweather. Still respect him a lot as a fighter but what he's been doing recently I don't respect at all. Carl Froch. Used to hate him, now he's cool. David Haye. Respected him but now I don't like what he's doing. Amir Khan. I loved when he got KOed, but he earned my respect after the Maidana fight.
