I thought he could go on... mabye he wanted the ref to call it off to save face. Timothy Bradley got robbed of a glorious victory - I know he won't be satisified with how it ended. What do you think? Does Alexander Lack Heart or Was the Stoppage Justified? Hard to say man, but he had to know he lost the majority of those rounds and he had to know it wasnt going to get better as the fight went on. I was at MSG for the cotto vs clottey fight and saw Miguel continue to fight with a worse gash over his eye and Clottey was clobbering him with punches.

try fighting with a cut that big in your eye while your opponent keeps headbutting you every round. everything looks easy from your home couch.

Cant be both. The only way you can say that is if you went old school and listened to it on the radio. He made no attempt to fight again and he didnt ask for a few minutes to recover. They should have showed the opposite camera so we could see him motioning the doctor to call it. Legit my ass. It wasnt the cut eye but the other eye that got bumped. If the Doctor came to the conclusion that he legitimately couldn't open his eye, he would have stopped it anyway. I'm sure you've been poked in the eye bad enough at one point in ur life to where u couldn't open it for a few minutes. Its not the injury that was fishy, it was his reaction to it.

I think it was legit stoppage. I think it would have been stopped whether he protested or not. However not protesting does not look good on camera. Even Andre Dirrell said he wanted to continue after waking up.

That excuse he gave was mad suspect. "oh, I can't open my eyes. They're burning." What the **** was that all about? The fight should have continued.
