Nick Diaz isn't even a top Level Mixed martial Artist and not even that great of a striker. He wont go very far in boxing!

I'm not too sure he'll have much success, but I'm all for a guy with a big name from another combat sport trying his luck at boxing. It's good for boxing and it could be an exciting main even that could draw a lot of interest if he's matched up with some decent contenders. He fights at 170 in MMA? So he'll most likely fight at 168 correct? Well I don't know if he'd stand a chance against the likes of Ward, Bute, Froch, Dirrell, ect.

mma guys should already know that a move into Boxing is not a wise decision. the two sports are vastly different, and for good reason. its not hard to understand the long road to a title fight in Boxing compares to MMA, though its tough to reach the top in both sports, boxing obviously is the harder of the two as far as making a name for yourself.

nope. not even a contender. look how slow and flat footed he is. compared to other mma fighter sure he looks decent but if he made the move into boxing i doubt he would win many fights.

Basically no MMA guy can box in the top 10 IMO. None. All you do is look at their weight and then you think oh boy, no chance in that division. Plus they have the wrong stance completely. I think Edgar would do good in boxing. I don't think either any fighter from either sport could go to the others and take out a top 10 guy.

Vitali Klitschko was already a decorated amateur boxer by the time he turned professional,and I don't recall him ever competing in K-1. Matt Skelton is probably the most sucessful transition,but he was anything more than a domestic level fighter.I'd imagine Skelton dedicated himself to his new profession,too. I dislike that particular "sport" due to it's blatant disrespect of the sport of boxing.It's fans,it's "fighters" - all of them - they have no respect.

Nick Diaz has no technique even by MMGAY standards.He has no weight behind his punches and throws them like a girl.You can get away with such sh^tty technique in such a primitive sport like MMGAY,but in boxing you'll pay dearly for such mistakes - even against a complete tomato can. Unless you're willing to completely dedicate yourself to the sport,no complete novice can simply walk in at such an advanced stage and expect to even make it as a rated contender.There are guys who've spent their entire life's training and never even made it past journeyman level,yet some feather fisted joker should be treated as a genuine threat simply because he has a name within another combat(if you consider molesting another man a form of combat) sport? Good strikers in mma/kickboxing rarely transition successfully to boxing, generally the only ones who can are Thai kickboxers who already focus a lot on punching.
