It's much harder to move up from 147 on up, than it is anywhere below.
You hardly see a size/strength difference at 125-130-135. Whereas from 147 to 154, you start to see the difference.
Hell someone like Roy Jones should be praised for all eternity. Nitpick all you want about his cherrypicking, but from 160 to 168 to 175 to 200....not easy. Yes it was gradual, but you could clearly feel the difference in opponents size/strength every time.
Roy Jones not just move up in weight to fight for a heavy title, he went down after. Just imagine what effect it put on his body. It shorted his boxing career thats for sure.

You think so?
Because fighters campaign at the weight they are comfortable at. Those fighters don't go down a weight class because the only way to go is up, they won't find themselves in a situation where they can't gain an extra 10lb to come near the limit.
Fighters do find that they struggle to lose the extra pounds to campaign in a weight class they were once comfortable in which is why they move up weight.
Thats why fighters starts young, so naturally and slowly, they could grow as they age. but when their body peaks, dont you think so if you already achieve what you want in a division, you dont wanna test your skills in a higher weight?
moving up in weight is easy. the real measure of greatness is moving down in weight and that's why anthony mundine is the greatest of all time.
:haha: Its not hard to do if you have spare fats to lose. Its just like Judah he cant get or win fights in 147 so he decided to go down.
You dont see a boxer going down in weight then becoming ATGs :lol1:

I agree.. I think Bradley doesn't have the height or reach for WW. He might be ok though, it's a weak division for now.
Actually, I think he could compete on even terms with Berto. He doesn't have the physical attributes that Berto does, but heart can go a long way.
Berto destroy him, he is too strong. Tim doesnt have the power to compete against elite 147.
Alexander, Ortiz, and Khan have the frames and youth to make it work. I think Bradley should stay at 140 because it is the best weight for him IMO.
When it comes to Amir its always his chin that is in question, moving up to 140 from 135 still didnt improve his chin. Maybe just like Miguel, it could change when he try to move to 147.
