Abraham and Ward meet in the semi-final of the super 6 later this year but where should the venue be for this fight?
I personally Abraham has every right to have the fight in Germany. In his last two Super 6 fights Abraham has had to fight away from home. The last time out it was a neutral venue against Froch and can't really complain about the result.
And the fight before that is was on Dirrel's home turf and there was questionable decision. Dirrel was put down but the ref ruled it a slip and then you have the controversy over DQ.
Ward on the other hand has not fought outside his hometown since the beginning of the Super 6.
First time out against Kessler, Ward boxed well, but he also was using his head at every opportunity. Cutting Kessler above both eyes with deliberate headbutts that caused Kessler a career threating injury that put him out of the Super 6. Ward got away with these deliberate butts all night, and highlighted a hometown ref.
Then Green was up next Ward won comfortably but every round on the judges scorecards. Then he had a fight outside the the Super 6 against fellow top head butter Bika. This was a close fight with Bika and a dirty fight, I thought Ward won again but only by the most 4 rounds. How on earth did 1 judge score the fight 120-108, disgraceful and the other two judges were not that much better. Still Wards was allowed to get away with his butting antics, I suppose so did Bika.
If you were Abraham would you want to go Ward backyard and get head butted for 12 rounds, the referee ruling all of them to be accidental, then to get shut out by the judges no matter what you did in the fight.
Germany is not the best place to go for the traveling fighter there have been some disgraceful decision in Germany over the years, the latest happened just last month with Lebedev vs Huck.
But because Abraham has not fought at home over his last two fights and that all Ward has done so Abraham team will have good reason for it be in Germany.
The only other option is a neutral venue but where?
Messy fight but Calzaghe lands so much more, there not grazing punches as well.
Hopkins doesn't want to fight he want to spoil, stop Calzaghe from fighting, he couldn't even do that.
bull.

You sure you are a boxing fan.
How do you score a fight?
Ring Generalship: Froch press the fight and had Dirrel running all night reducing him to the odd flurry and and holding.
Effective Aggression: Froch was the aggressor, not that effective with the running tactics employed by Dirrell. But Dirrell was about aggresive as a little lamb.
Clean punching: Barring a couple of good punches late in the fight Dirrell did do much. Froch found it difficult to catch Dirrell but he did throw more and land more than Dirrell
Defense: Froch sliped punches while Dirrell held and run.
Ofcourse you have to do this round by round.
If this what some Americans think it explains the Lewis vs Holyfield draw.
Its funny how u feel Americans r bias becuz we think the American won, and yet u guys r suppose to be fair thinking the European, who left the ring feeling he needed to make excuses to justify his victory, won.
Ring Generalship: If anyone had Ring Generalship, it was Dirrell. He completely controlled the pace of the fight.
Effective Aggression: Froch's aggression was not affective at all, blame it on Dirrell's running, but Dirrell was clearly out landing Froch in just about every round, barring a few.
Clean punching: Froch only landed 1 legitimately clean punch before the 10th. In the 11th or 12th, Froch lands a flurry or two. Other than that, Froch's best punches were to the back of Dirrell's head.
Defense: Froch slipped punches? Lmao... Dirrell used movement to make Froch miss... Froch did not make Dirrell miss lol. (Funny thing about this, a lot of Europeans say defense has nothing to do with how a fight should be scored, which explains a lot).
the fight should be east coast or vegas.
ward can't win a decision in germany even if he KOed AA.
yeah, id say vegas is best place for venue for ward-aa. dont know how mnay would turn up though
Do you give Hopkins extra pts for play acting.
Or maybe you give Hopkins pts for holding.
Why did you think Hopkins had to play act for?
It was so funny seeing Hopkins going from throwing one punch and holding to just holding.
Maybe Hopkins could have a career in MMA
i scored the fight using the 4 criteria and hopkins clearly won. play acting doesn't fall under any of the criteria. the decision to give him a break after being low blowed was made by the ref. was it a hard low blow? no but that was up to the ref. somehow you factor this low blow into scoring the fight and gave calzaghe 9 rounds for it?
and once again you show your ignorance when it comes to boxing knowledge regarding holding. calzaghe was actually the one doing most of the holding for the first 8 rounds. yes hopkins did start holding to buy time toward the end. you are unable to interpret what you are seeing when watching boxing. you see the ref separating the fighters and automatically think oh hopkins is holding. but if you actually look closely at what was happening when hopkins got inside calzaghe would lock up hopkins arms to prevent him from throwing. calzaghe can't fight inside at all and hopkins is a great inside fighter so calzaghe had to resort to holding to slow him down. a lot of the times the ref would break them when calzaghe was holding and hopkins still had hands free punching him. calzaghe was very lucky cortez was the ref and reset them or he would have been beaten up inside the entire fight.

Come on, where's the other 20 minutes of the fight. It's the fight edited.
are you talking about the calzaghe deception? there's 6 parts so you probably didn't watch all the parts.
I laughed my ass off at 'The documentary' made by a Hopkins fanboy. What is the point in editing out 90% Calzaghe's punches and showing just the parts when Hopkins actually throws a punch. I was expecting some real analysis by a real boxing fan, not fanboy ****.
Ward fighting in Germany is safer than Sheep-Shagging England. The way Dirrell was roobed against that English Sheep Shagging Froch puts Sven Otke's points wins in perspective.

nope it was the entire fight. that says it all doesn't it? you think calzaghe's landed punches were edited out but they just don't exist. kinda proves hopkins won doesn't it?

Erm, Bradley beating Witter, and I had Ward winning all of his fight, but he was lucky not to get DQ against Kessler.
I see a pattern here you disagree with the judges every time.
no i have the same consistent way of scoring fights every time. you know why? because i use the rules and obviously you don't. clean punching, defense, effective aggression, ring generalship. i don't use faulty compubox numbers to judge a fight like you do.

Total Punches Alexander Kotelnik
Landed 202 225
Thrown 1113 763
Pct. 18% 29%
Total Punches Hopkins Calzaghe
Landed 127 232
Thrown 468 707
Pct. 27% 33%
As you can see very different fight?
Maybe if Kotelnik would have crawled around on the floor and played acted he could have taking the decision
And as for Froch vs Dirrel
Total Punches: Froch 153/475 32%
Dirrell 105/315 33%
And Dirrel was deducted a point for excessive holding.
anyone who uses compu box can not be taken seriously. especially when i just told you that those numbers were proven factually incorrect yet you still use them. you know why? because you have nothing of substance to prove your case.
