Seen this fight so many times. Roy just seems close to perfection in this fight. The speed, accuarcy, & timing of his punchers, his reflexes, he seems to know whats Woods is gonna throw before even Woods does.
And Although Woods is no world beater, he was still a good fighter. Who ended up becoming IBF World Champion, and beat Glen Johnson.
He was starting to decline a little, but he was still superhuman. Imagine if after this fight he didn't move up to fight Ruiz. Instead he fought Tarver, Michalczewski, Calzaghe, rematch with Hopkins, and then retire in that order. We would be talking about this guy as the best ever.
He fought Gonzalez before Kelly right then after Kelly woods right well from what i remember he had plenty I'n Gonzalez but looked bored as he did I'n these fights to. Maybe he was just bored Ahah
Maybe he was just slowing down.
Not just this fight but you'll see in his fights prior that he had become quite flat footed.

I think your right about the reflexs being slowed but i think he was flatfooted cause he was trying to sit down and get him out cause him running threw air wasn't getting it.

Much more flat-footed, reflexes had slowed quite a bit.

Roy wasn't quite there anymore, but still 100x more than enough to handle Woods, who was game tbh.
Off topic, @ the 10:18 mark of the second part, Andre Ward lol.
damn he looks like a gang banger lol
if indeed that is him if not it's a spitting image

This fight definitely shows Roy's greatness. While it's clear he's not what he once was, he is still able to dominate every round against a game Woods. Despite what people say, Woods is a decent fighter. The longer Roy stays away from the ring, the more respect he will receive.
I thought this was going to be about the Lacy fight. I know they both were done at that point, but Roy gets a 10 for entertainment value for that performance.
how can you say that when he won every second of every minute of every round??
I don't understand how that question makes sense. He was slowing down yet still great.
Yeah but he was really slipping at that point and I think that fight showed it.
