Hopkins said he won 7 rounds and then he said he got robbed.
I know that Hopkins didnt go to school but if you got dropped twice and other dude won 5 rounds and you won 7 rounds then its a draw.
And lets be honest Pascal dropped him 3 times,he should get credit for 3rd knockdown,it aint Pascal fault that Hopkins acted unproffesionaly turning back to him and got dropped cuz of that.
1- We don't have the same definition of "hardcore boxing fan" if to you a hardcore fan can possibly not know who the lineal champ of one of the most publicised weight class is.
2- That the casual fan thinks BHop won because they know him or something doesn't bother me at all. But the commentators are supposed to be professionnals. In this fight, their biased commentary (especially Grey's interview with Pascal) were highly unprofessional. And a hardcore fan shouldn't care if he knows the fighter or not when he scores a fight. He scores rounds, not the amount of love he has for a fighter.
3- For more than 8 rounds? Hopkins himself said that he won 7. If you do the math, it makes a draw (Hop probably didn't realise that when he made his comment...).
I saw the post figth inverview, gray asked him...On shots connected, punches thrown, and activity you lost in all three categories...so where do you think the fight was won..that's not nationalism...that's actually a pretty good interview. ..Your the Champ, you didnt fight your best fight...He knew it.just like Bhop said after his interview "he wasn't happy, he wasnt jumping around" And honestly, come on..Pascal didnt fight a good fight, you know it, and gray called him out on it..that makes him an American Nationalist?? lol...dude seriously...
And People still dont know who Pascal is. It's not smack talk, it's reality. And after this fight, if they didnt know who he is, they DEF dont think he's a great champ...
Hardcore fan watches this fight and doesnt score the first "knockdown"
But your Numbering was slick, really put everything into perspective. Your alright in my book guy.

Lmao at you, Cung le, you fcking clown :tool:
Lmao at you,did Mora dropped Mosley three time?
You are so dumb that its scary!
There is no way pascal has won the fight at all. The best he could do is a draw if you give him all of the close rounds even with the two knockdowns. Maybe if he didn't fight like a ****ing bum after the third round and got put to school then he could win the fight. Dude clearly lost 8 of the 9 rounds after roun.d 3.
How do you even turn this fight into something political is beyond me. Take it easy with the nationalism comments. BHop is a huge draw, most casual boxing fans and maybe some hardcore fans still dont know who the hell Pascal is. So when you see an apparent champ running and not really landing a crisp shot for more that 8 rounds. To the average boxing champ, they're gonna go the way of the guy they know. It just so happens Bhop was an american, so when you see the guy u know outboxing someone and losing, ya the casual fan will think it's from the hometown judges....Sillyness all around with that comment man...
I think it was a draw only cause i'm old school. You gotta knock out the champ to take his belt. But Bhop took him to school..the 2nd knock down was really sketch too...

There was no robbery, just a lot of US nationalism.
I scored the fight a draw, giving a couple of close rounds to Hopkins. It could easily have been scored a close decision win for Pascal.
I thought Al Bernstein's commentary was very biased in favor of Hopkins and against Pascal, so he mislead the viewers as he often does.
The interview of Pascal by Jim Gray was a complete disgrace.
The only honorable one on the Showtime crew that night was Antonio Tarver, who rose above the silly nationalism and made fair and objective comments.

Owned
Sweeped it from the 4th? There is no way Hopkins won the 5th.
IMO, Pascal won 1(10-8), 2, 3(10-8), 5
Hopkins won: 6, 7, 8, 9, 11.
Rounds that could go either way: 4, 10, 12
If you give only 1 of the close rounds to Pascal, he gets a draw.
Body language isn't proof of anything. It is the same as to say that someone's face looked worse than his rival's. Pascsal wasn't happy with his performance, but that doesn't mean he thinks he lost.
I had it close also. Here is my score I have it recorded.
Pascal won 1(10-8),2,3(10-8)
Hopkins won 6,7,8 but close,9,10 but close,11
I had rounds 4,5,12 as even rounds could have gone either way. Hopkins only won by a point on my scoring. But as you can see there were 5 rounds that im not sure about as they were close. So a draw was a good decision imo.
B-Hop sweeped it from the 4th rd on, you could see it in Pascal's facial expressions and body language after the fight that he knew that old man beat him and could have possibly ko'd him had the fight been longer.

It was a close fight because of the two knock downs. Plus I had three rounds that could have gone either way or been even rounds. I don't think Hopkins was robbed like a lot of people do. I think a draw was the right decision.

He meant compubox dont mean anything when it is convient for him.
In anycase I felt it was the correct decision scoring it a draw. Hopkins did win more rounds but the two knockdowns sealed his fate. Other then Marlon Wright, officiating in canada in very at the proffesional level. Our amatuer program is a diasaster.
:canada:
LMAO Pascal got robbed lol...he had a guy down twice he was damn near 50 and still got outworked and beat down and even his home crowd could barely give him a draw and that was an outright travesty. Pascal even lost the interview lmao, he said ummmm yeah anytime and within like 30 seconds thinks better of it and tries to back off it and Jim wasn't gonna hear that lol...whatever I want Pt.2 **** Dawson.
Those compubox dont mean ****.
99% of Hopkins punches are rabbit punches and low blows!
PASCAL GOT ROBBED,PERIOD!
uumm, ok, you did not see the fight then, pascal was the ONLY one fouling in that fight, with rabbit punches and lowblows, hopkins didn't play that game during their fight.
so therefore i call your whole argument bullschit, and voided. because using that same argument, the same one pascal tried using and looked like a tit in doing so, because that wasn't true at all. pascal was the dirty one saying hopkins is dirty, i think pascal has another thing coming in the rematch.
but yeah, for the fact that you are either blind to the facts or just being unrealistic i could care either way, if you think that hopkins punches were all fouls, then you did not watch the fight and you're playing nothing but shenanigans. /

the fact that hopkins out landed, out hustled, had pascal running away, hit him with the cleaner more noticeable shots, walked him down, and took pascal's best shots. there was one legit knockdown, they had to give pascal a gift with the first one, which was clearly in the back of the head, but regardless it was scored, other than that pascal did nothing to WIN the fight.
the fact of the matter that he was in his hometown and not one of the judges scored the fight in his favor is a resounding piece of evidence in the fact that pascal got a gift, because a draw, not losing his belt, is a win, all the while they robbed hopkins, who DID do enough to win. sorry but two knockdowns don't win a fight not win you're being beaten around the ring running away.
look, i like pascal, i think he's good and good for the sport, and on top of that, i think he's a good person, and if he even came close to winning that fight, i would say that he did, the fact of the matter though, is that he didn't. he wasn't even close as for BEATING HOPKINS OR BEATING HIM UP, he struggled and basically got beat by a guy that is more than twice his age, or damn near close to twice his age. pascal should've been chasing hopkins around the ring, not the other way around, and don't try and cite that movement is pascals game because although that is true, usually he's effective with it, against hopkins, he was amateurish at best.
