Define "real boxing fan"

A guy who watches Telefutura bouts on a Friday night is a real boxing fan. When your in the Dominican Republic on vacation while Shane Mosley and Margarito are about to fight and your angrily walking back and forth on the resort asking everyone where the boxing match will be televised and they all look at you like your stupid. Like they never heard of boxing. Some responding, "bess ball"...NOOOOO!!! So you finally stay up late watching the ESPN ticker for the news, and see round 1 mosley, round 2 Mosley, Round 3 Mosley and you know the rest. So I guess my ex girlfriend is a "real boxing fan" because she says she wanted to see what Ali would have done to Floyd Mayweather in a fight. She also heard that Salvador Perez was a great Mexican fighter. EPIC, EPIC, posts lol

someone who supports the sport through actually PAYING for the PPVs & supporting your local scene on the domestic level as well as the world level...someone who supports a fighter WIN or LOSE! bandwagon jumpers are pathetic...someone who realizes the importance of the journeyman\gate keeper fighter & has respect for him.someone who knows that just because you lost a few times doesnt mean you suck....so many more...

I think based on the posted quoted here, we can add another point to the criteria of being a "true boxing fan" 5. Thinking that you are superior in you own mind over other fans because you have no life other than boxing No life outside boxing? And you came to this conclusion how? I've already said I'm not a "true boxing fan" to my standards so I can rule out basic logic. Not that being superior over you is an achievement, it's a given really given your hilarious sig statement.

Where is the line between fanatic and not? It's just certain shades of gray. That's all I'm saying, and if someone says they are a fan who am I to say they aren't? Ok Im a soccer fan, Whew!! ( I know nothing of it and could not tell you the name of one player, I dont know the rules or any team name, and have never really watched a game or even 2 minutes of a game) But Im a soccer fan! Where do you EVER see Pac fans saying Pac is their god? The only people ever mentioning god is in derision to their fans, such as "your god Pac" or "your god Floyd".
