Keep in mind this is a FORTY year old Roy Jones. Crazy.
when roy came back and fought anthony hanshaw i swear i can barely see the combo he landed to drop him. it was like a motion blurr. need a 240hz tv to see roy punches
against chavez, medrick was throwing 8 punch combinations, against maidana, khan done around 7.....
medrick was shoeshining and khan was 12 12. those type of combos are easy to load up the speed with. speed is catching guys with shots they dont even see comming. not just standing there while you throw simple combos and then move. but medrick is still on another level compared to khan
punch for punch zab is faster than amir. devon can keep up with handspeed. amir looks fast when throwing a jab or 12 12. besides that its nothing special. manny and floyd is faster than him as well. this is my opinion and from what i see. guzman at 130 was faster but his speed went down as his weight went up.
just outta curiosity, who would you say was the fastest ever? like in modern times....
Roy Jones Jr. Not just for hand speed, but overall speed. Fast hands for single shots to lead. Fast hands for single shots to counter, and fast reflexes to counter in the first place. Great speed in his combination punching for both arm flurries and shots with leverage. His defensive reflexes were extremely sharp, as was his footwork.
Hector Camacho, Howard Davis, and Meldrick Taylor were all very fast too.
