I like that idea, that way he can prove to everyone it wasn't a lucky punch that landed. I also think that Pavlik may be able to do better this time around, if he can get his life straight.
Why?
Sergio beat Williams twice and ended Pavlik's career when he was the underdog. No point in having this fight and have the winner fight Sergio because Sergio will beat the winner again.
People need to stop saying the KO was a lucky punch because if you re-watch the first fight and the 2nd fight, you'll notice that Martinez landed that punch at will and landed the punch whenever he wanted.
He's been out actually. But you're right about him not fighting anytime soon.
As for Williams, the dude just got KTFO. Putting him up against another huge puncher will be the last thing him and his camp will pursue.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Williams is sleeping....
Kelly Pavlik is on rehab, hes not going to fight anytime soon

I’d rather just see Pavlik successfully recover as I wish Hatton the same.
I think both fighters best fighting days are now behind them so I don’t see the point in either pursuing prize fighting.
make it happen? thats the fight i want to see two big middlewieght going at it!
The question is, do either of them even want to fight Martinez again? I doubt it.
I really don't want to see any of them against Martinez again. They were pretty definitive wins and I don't think we would see a different outcome. I rather see how Martinez does with new opponents. His resume is pretty small and needs more variety.
As far as Williams vs Pavlik goes, I would definitely love to see that.
From day one I've always backed Pavlik by KO if this fight were to ever happen and I stand by that. Pavlik needs to recover fully and show he still has that desire first.
