odlh was the favourite going it and had all the "advantages" of pac
pac gets bash of this win but this is a good win on his resume because he went against the odds
period.
I see you support Mayweather and are unfair to Pacquiao.
In fact, you always support black fighters and are always unfairly negative non-black fighters like Pacquiao and the Klitschkos.
You don't veil your racism very well.
To you it's a simple world - in your mind black is good and everything else is bad.
LMAO @ unfair to Pacquiao. I rate Pacquiao higher than Mayweather. So how am I unfair? STFU.
You ran away yesterday in that other thread. Do yourself a favor, read some more STORM FRONT docs so you can get more knowledge. I think we all know who really is insecure here. How many alts do you have again?

Dazed is a racist pig.........:pat:
IP ban please.......where is that nuthugging sorry excuse for a journo RN, otherwise known as BPP.........??
A 2007 version of Oscar De La Hoya put Floyd Mayweather Jr. through absolute hell for 12 rounds.
What was the difference between him then and against Pacquiao? A year? 7 pounds?
The horror.
An interesting definition of hell you have there.......

The reason its underrated?
Well that easy.
Freddie Roach made several comments that downgraded the win.
Such as Oscar can't pull the trigger.
And his observation that Oscar had IV marks that told him Oscar was dehydrated.
Than Oscar gained very little weight overnight.
Manny weighed more than him on fight night.
You can blame Roach.
I was just about to post the exact same thing. I'd give you green K if they'd let me.
It was underrated because Pac made it look too easy! If De la Hoya wasn't getting his face smashed for the whole fight, everyone would probably give Pac his due.
I don't care that haters underrate it as long as Pac won that fight. Before the fight I really thought Pac would get KOed by Oscar........the most surprising thing happened, a 4 to 1 underdog won it!! Even Xcaret was happily posting "End of the World threads for the Philippines" in the pinoy lounge before the fight....everybody knew Pac was going to lose.....that the only good news is that Pac will earn his biggest paycheck. Surprise surprise....
exactly bro! I even had a dream that PAC got koed on the first punch landed lolz hehe, that's was the last time I was not to confident on a Manny Pacquiao win ...
Its not really a good win, but nobody can blame Pacquiao for taking the fight considering everyone thought it was a mismatch in Oscar's favor.
man, everybody and their granny knew, KNEW that Oscar was going to win.
Not to give credit to Pacquiao is....well just stupid.
Yes everyone knew DLH hadnt fought at WW for years, and that he didnt perform great against Forbes, so people should have given Pac a great chance to beat DLH. Its no point making excuses afterwards, and not give Pac credit.
You didnt give Pac a chance with all the evidence going against DLH before the fight. So if Pac wins you must give Pac credit. He does get credit but only Pac haters will criticise. So it must be put into perspective.
ODLH should have been fighting at MW and killed himself to get down to 145lbs. It showed all over his face before he even got in the ring. The horrific dehydration combined with his age got Oscar a bad beating. He stood no chance to cite the odds as a reason for it being a good win shows ignorance. God win for Pac but honestly if that was prime ODLH it would have been a bad beating for pac.
I don't know about all that.

I don't think the win is underrated. It certainly was a huge upset and catapulted him to the top slot in boxing. As far as legacy, it does next to nothing but he made up for it in his next two fights.
