People forget that Mayweather/DLH was and is a record for any fight. People forget that Mayweather/SSM was and is the second most purchased non-heavyweight PPV. All of this and Floyd is still nice enough to offer Manny a 50/50 split. What does Manny have to do? Just take the same drug tests that Floyd Mayweather is taking. Easy, right? Not when someone has something to hide. nice? please. neither floyd nor manny can generate what probably is the biggest ppv in history alone. they need each other to make it.

Are those numbers just from the US? Because that would be a ridiculous comparison surely. If Floyd failed to get more viewers from his own countrymen than someone who hails from the other side of the world, that would be downright embarassing. Who do we think would get more views in the Philippines? If the majority of TV revenue comes from US PPV's (which I'm guessing it does), then obviously Floyd should get more of that pot if they fight. But just quoting the numbers just shows the obvious, that an American is more popular in the US that a Philippino.

If a controversial fighter only fights once a year, especially a known ducker, I'd expect him to do well in the PPV sales. I'd be curious to see him too. I generally dislike pot shotters and runners, so I root for their defeat. Sadly, they generally are pitted against low risk competition. But make no mistake, Floyd was put on the map when DLH gave him a fight. Most countries don't even know him before that fight. They knew DLH. Of course, most of them rooted for DLH. BTW, it was Marquez that sold 1.1 million PPV not Floyd. Don't ask me where I got that info, ask this TS.

That is embarassing for Floyd. Floyd is an American and Pac is a Filipino and he's competing with Floyd.. Pac sold more PPV in total than Floyd did in their whole career... TS Failed. Manny and Floyd are the top selling fighters right now and both should be proud. Being American is not really advantage outside the heavyweight division. Most of the guys who have success selling PPV had roots in places outside of the 50 states. Oscar was the biggest with his Mexican roots. It helps more than hurts to have roots else where because you get support from people who share similar roots as well as American fight fans. Most good American boxers these days have trouble selling fights. Hopkins and Mosley have been great a long time but it has trouble translating into numbers when they are the main attraction. What both Manny and Floyd have done recently surpasses what we have seen in quite some time though. There was a point in time when people felt it would take a long time for another boxer to do one million homes when Oscar is out of the picture. We have two guy that can do it right now.
