You know, when Haye announced his move to heavyweight the forums were full with Haye avatars, signatures etc...
With every new stunt Haye has lost more and more of fans.
But there are still fans left. Thus let me ask you:
If Haye skips Chagaev and chooses to fight Evander Holyfield (or James Toney) instead... will you stop to support him?
I'm not sure who he fights. What I can say is, it'll be interesting to see who Booth comes up with. I have a feeling Rahman is a high possibility for Haye though, an opponent with a credible record, and is known by british boxing fans for knocking out Lewis.
I'm certain it wont be any eastern Europe fighter that is coming through the ranks, they're to dangerous for Haye.
I said quite a while back now that Haye would fight Holyfield. He fits the typical profile of a Haye opponent, big name low risk fight, way past prime and a chance for Haye to say how he beat a fighter which the Klits never fought (he still brags about the Valuev fight for God's sake!). In Holyfield's case he can work on the angle that Holy's a legend who beat Tyson twice. Plenty of material to work with there. Give it enough hype and it'll sell like hotcakes, I betcha. Forget the Audley fight, most of the British public has.
Nah man Haye loves Jones and KNOWS he'd crush him. He dont wanna KO one of his idols and defo not when he knows he'd get slaughtered for taking the fight
Well didn't Gayevid say he looked up to Fraudley at one point and that they were mates? What's the difference? Another chance for a fake fight to get a couple of quid from the stupid drunk Brits.
if not chagaev, dont really know any other fighter for haye to fight that isnt waaay past their prime.(if not klitschko or adamek). Haye could possibly be an ******* and try to negotiate an adamek fight...gonna be a long year for the hayemaker
No Wlad and Adamek have been negotiating months. The only reason to sign and Adamek fight now is to avoid pressure to fight Haye after Chisora.
Blobby give it up man, these guys are Raw Haters and u will never convince them Hayes any good, even when Haye has sparked them both! Or that its Wlads fault the fight fell through
No.
Wlad would prefer to fight Haye, but Haye said "he's done with him" and will never fight Wlad. So then Wlad went after a fight with Adamek.

That wouldn't suprise me either actually.

Haye would gain loads and loads of respect from me if he fights Holyfield for two reasons.
1) Holyfield will win. Haye knows it would be a high risk fight.
2) Holyfield was robbed against Valuev. Robbed out of history. He deserves another shot at the WBA title and I would really respect David if he gave Evander that shot.
But I do not see Haye stepping to up to fight him.
I wouldn't be so sure. Adam Booth already announced "There are still a couple of meaningful fights out there for David with good heavyweights that have a lot of profile in America".
Sounds like Holyfield/Toney for me.
Not one mention of Vitali there, by Booth.
Hmmm....
David Haye is better off fighting his mandatory and after that he better fight Wladimir K.
That's what i thought would happen until Wlad decided to fight Adamek and avoid Haye.
There's noone for him to fight, Wlad ****ed up the 2nd biggest fight in boxing to fight Chisora.

No.
It was the man you're in love with who refused to fight Wlad on July 2.
No, it was the man you love that got everyones hopes up and then chose to fight Chisora and **** up the fight, not only that he's signing a contract to fight Adamek in September so he can avoid Haye for the rest of the year.
Not that theres much to choose from but his opponent will be a good HW as good as any of em are anyways. No chance he fights a Holyfield or Toney after the Harrison farce
I highly doubt he fights Toney but i could see him maybe fighting Holyfield.
And if he fights either he stays in the same position, very weak resume at HW.
He wont fight either Holyfield ot Toney

He wont fight either Holyfield ot Toney especially after the bashing he took for fighting Audley. However im pretty sure the only reason he wont fight Chagaev will be because Chagaev may not get medical clearence to fight so cant really blame Haye for that although im sure some Klit fans will anyway.

If Haye fights Holyfield/Toney instead Chagaev will you lose the remaining respect? | BoxingScene Community
