Paul was a champ at Lightweight and hasn't fought any real welters of note, so that's probably why he is ranked so low in welter on boxrec. He's a legit good boxer and probably coulda been a star if he hadn't had his career derailed by alcohol, cocaine, beating his girlfriend and a subsequent stint in jail.
