Boxing always was like this. Rematch of Ali-Foreman never happened, Leonard ducking Hagler for long period, Bowe vacating his title not to fight Lewis, Roy Jones, Hopkins and Calzaghe fighting each other when all three were old, nobody willing to fight Wright, Tszyu sitting in his weight division not fighting in ww.

Nov/Dec were the best two months of boxing for a while. Even Hopkins/Pascal, which I thought would be boring, was entertaining. Pacquiao - Mayweather will never happen, but most of us gave up on that about a year ago. I still think Haye will fight a Klitschko and the rest isn't that bad at all.

I feel the same way bro. But you know boxing is like that drug you can't shake, thats what Bob Arum knows and uses it against you. I feel the same way but im also just as excited for bradley-alexander, donaire-montiel (I cant wait for these two man) agbeko-mares, and the prospects of gamboa-lopez, martinez-pirog, the winner of mares-agbeko vs the winner of donaire montiel, khan bradley-alex winner, etc. We follow it because you never know when your going to get that barrera-morales or castillo-corrales and nothing in sport is better. nothing.

I'm actually looking forward to the Marquez-Morales fight (aside from the Alexander-Bradley.) Two great counter punchers will finally meet in the ring. Just curious if Morales still has it.

After all that... It's not that bad is it? It's not bad at all. People just need something to complain about. September/October last year? That was bad. First 3 months this year are shaping up pretty well in my opinion.

Well, Khan/Maidana, Martinez/Williams, Bradley/Alexander etc r examples of the best fighting the best. Maybe u should pay more attention to those guys. I stopped caring about Pacquiao and Mayweather a long time ago. I'll give Gamboa a little more time to cook, he doesn't have the experience of Juanma, so it makes sense for him to be a little intimidated considering they're not really on even playing fields yet. If James Kirkland hadn't gone to jail, him and Angulo would likely have been talked about and I doubt either would be too scared to fight the other. Than there's the super six... with the tournament winner likely facing Lucian Bute not long after the tournament. After all that... It's not that bad is it?

So you say now, since the fights are history. But if you were around back then leading up to those fights (which clearly you weren't) you'd know how long it took to put together Leonard-Hearns. Long time....they let that fight marinate to create more buzz/interest and Leonard even admitted it. True. Even at that can you imagine how these current fans of boxing would have handled Leonard not facing Pryor and no rematch Hagler vs Leonard rematch. In reality there have always been great fights, regardless of the era, that could have happened but didn't. Some of them were from some of the dumbest reasons etc.....which is why I said boxing has always been like that.

But yeah boxing has always been like this. Riddick Bowe throwing the HW belt in the trash instead of facing Lewis B-hop and Roy being prima donnas and not facing each other. Tyson and Lewis never fighting in their prime physical years Ricardo Lopez refusing to move up to face guys like Johnson and Carbajal. and countess other examples. My best advice is just not to get your hopes up to high on fights as every fighter is bound to let you down at some point or another.

I started doing this hardcore the beginning of last year. And I enjoy the lower weight classes better now. :fing02: And, like Shadows said bantamweight is the best division in boxing where the best fights the best. Lower weights is just great action.

the best fighters dont wanna test their skills against the best fighters. this **** is so pathetic and im so fed up. the haye-wlad bs , that was the last straw for me. haye-wlad/vitali mayweather-pacquiao pacquiao-martinez juanma-gamboa make the ****ing fights happen instead we have pacquiao-margarito haye-harrison hopkins jones 2 and now cotto-mayorga pacquiao-mosley klitschko-chisora boxing is a disgrace, ruined by promoters and cowardly fighters. that is all. :lame: GREEN K SENT, because I feel your pain but this has been going on for a while now. Sadly makes me want to watch MMA.......... naaahhh that's just too far.

Bantamweight division surely isn't a letdown. It's not just the talent that makes it the best division in boxing. Over the past few years, the best have been fighting the best.

Eaxactly,I agree.But at least B-Hop fought the lineal 175 lb champ,18 years his jr to boot. After facing a shot jones in a fight that got him canned from HBO, and a journeyman in Orneleas. Ohh yeah let's not forget that he refused to fight the #1 LHW in his division in Chad Dawson. B-hop is no different than anyone else so stop trying to hype him up as if he's not.
