I personally dont think you will amount to much without natural physical gifts, beit stamina, speed, durability, heart, power.
Punchers like Tito, Jackson were considered elite cause they were tremendous punchers, not because they were particularly skilled, infact I reckon David Reid had more Boxing skill than both, as did Terry Norris, only look what happened there.
You do need to kind of go deeper:
People like RJJ are natural athletes and are born like that. The problem was once RJJ body aged he didn't have the technique to continue.
Pac man is in the middle, he is a good athlete but the more he trained the better he got and so I would say he would of been a good fighter but through training and hard work he got better.
Now people are going to get mad at this but I think Floyd was made, he was born into a boxing family and has been around boxing his whole life, of course he would the genes to become a good athlete, but training hard and going through an extensive amateur career has MADE floyd the boxer that he is.
born
believe it or not, but there are guys in the world who already know how to box perfectly with perfect technique, the rest is about experience and getting in shape
you're born with the desire to fight
born with the desire to train
born with the attributes
you're born to be a fighter
There are quite of few fighters I've seen with absolutely awesome technique of random fights I've seen from Europe. You can just tell though they don't have the speed or power to compete at the very elite level.
Can you explain this? In my opinion some people just has it but without hardwork it is a waste and Pac defintely got both of it
sure.....if floyd was in pac's shoes, meaning having no legit trainer , living life on the streets, having no one to make right choices or connections, he would be a powdered donut lipped crackhead right now even with all his talents.............pac has beaten all odds to make it there....
i would have to say made.
its really up to the individual to take their life to where they want it.
they either have the determination or they don't, i don't think its a matter of roots or god given talents.
like mayweather, even though i like him as a fighter, i don't believe it was god who gave him the talent. his family only knew boxing, so that's what they taught him from the beginning, so that's what he knows. his dad & uncle taught him to be tough and confident, so thats how he turned out.
pacquiao found motivation through fighting in honor/inspiration of a late friend and helping out his mother. sergio martinez found it through working out/training, he just fell in love with it. tyson found it as a way of escaping his troubled surroundings. fighters are made, not born with it.
if they were, julio cesar chavez jr and omar chavez wouldve been some bad motherf***ers right now, but theyre doing okay thanks to suliaman and arum.
floyd= made
pac= born with it

Both.
There are people who are born punchers, they naturally hit harder.
Just like there are people who are born with speed, they naturally throw punches faster. Hell some are born with both. The tricky part is realizing this talent and building on it by learning how to box.
You can't just wake up one day and have the boxing ability of Willie Pep, you gotta work on it and learn the game while at the same time your attributing to your talent.
He said that after the 10th while Khan was on his bench telling him he wont let him take that kind of punishment because he's there to protect him
Geez such little biitches complaining a month later
Not complaining, that was just the 1st time i heard such thing.
Did you hear sometime during round break Cortez said something like dont worry Amir, i will protect you ok? Do ref do this all the time? Just wondering
