Funniest experience or discussion with a casual boxing fan..

Lets just keep this about the experience please..lets not turn this into another hate thread. I mentioned this story once and was attacked...Listen its a true story so don't make a big deal out of it. I work in a commercial area where we do business with a Filipino owner. I went to his business and noticed he had Newspaper clippings of Pac on the wall so I asked, "you a big boxing fan?". He responds, "Yes, Manny # 1!". So Im like what do you think of Floyd M. He says Floyd is scared. Im like Ok and what do think of Juan Marquez fight. He kind of just looked at me..Little pause.....Manny #1!!..I figuered he was a new fan so I asked about the Cotto fight...He again said Manny #1 and he can beat Cotto too!....This was after the Cotto fight....lol Funny thing is it was the second experience with him. I was kind of joking with him because of the similar first experience and he seemed not to even remember..lol

i was talking to a guy and his friend and rocky marciano came up somehow one of them said that he actually lost a fight just before he won the title but it was scrapped from the record books because america wanted a white champion as they were sick of black fighters like jack dempsey dominating.i told him how wrong that was plus the fact that dempsey was white and his friend backed him up and they made it clear how stupid they thought i was and the worst thing was my friends that were there had no idea so ended up believing that i was wrong.sooo anoying.

I was on this one website and this Gay guy who has an avatar that saids Latinos Unidos de Winston Salem kept on stalking me and hitting on me Because we kept debating about Margarito using plaster during his fight with Cotto!!I asked him why he believed that Margarito had plaster on him, He said he knew for a fact because he was there Giving Margs a blow while his Hands were being wrapped with the plaster, What a loser!!!!

My neighbor,we was talking about the different martial arts & he blurted out that boxers punch the softest out of all of them!!I've never been so surprised in my life!!I told him,nah dawg,who the hell lied to U??Then he said if I had some phone books he'd show me that his punches(without turning them over)were harder than mine.I told him I don't need phonebooks,I got mitts!!He's 30 pounds more than me but punches softer than my gurl,LOL!!

In my previous job 4 years ago, got along well with a couple of Mexican-Americans. They were very impressed with Pacquiao, this was after the Morales fight. I told them that instead of a 3rd fight, i wanted to see a rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez. They replied with "who is that". They know Morales and Barrera but not JMM.

I once asked a Ping Ping fan if they fancied going out for a hot dog. And I'll leave it there because I don't want to get banned again... I dont understand what the grounds would be...but then again the favoritism in here is crazy. Im Spanish and happen to know that most of us eat rice and beans(not all). Irish are fond of potatoes(not all)....Ok thats nice Chinese love rice (not all)....and so on. Whats the big deal?

I was in a Co-Op store on a Saturday night back when I was living in England, and in walked Brett Flournoy, a boxer who'd just been on Sky TV the night before in the Prizefighter competition. I was drunk, and kicked up a fuss like, "OMG, that's Brett Flournoy!". Needless to say a few of my friends/other random people took up the (minor) chant. He looked kinda embarrassed himself and shook everyones hand etc while they were wishing him luck etc and telling him how he should have won and he got a bum deal etc. Anyway, he got his stuff and left, then everyone was like, "So... who was that? Is he a footballer or something?" Made me laugh at the time.

Few weeks ago I was at a local target in San Francisco(Large Filipino Population)buying a game and this short fat Filipino kid was buying call of duty and surprising to me he was wearing a "Pac Knows" shirt I started talking to the guy and asked him about Pacquiao and Floyd. His obvious answer was Floyd was scared. I asked him why doesn't he have a trilogy with Marquez. He responded saying "Why? He knocked him out already." I pretty much ended the conversation there.
