Khan v L.Peterson Even More Likely Now?

Khan won't face Ortiz next, I doubt GBP would put it togerther yet.

With Judah due to fight for IBF title on March the 5th and Khan to be back in the ring in April that just shuts the door for a fight between Khan and Judah. So it looks more likely it will be Lamont Peterson now? Other options..... Prescott, Juan Urango....... GBP recycling their stable just like arum.

ORtiz got outboxed by peterson for the magority of the fight lol, there was a 10-7 round for ortiz in the 3rd, ortiz landed some good other shots throught he fight, but peterson for the most part outboxed victor. If lamont can outbox ortiz, im pretty sure amir could. Best opponent for khan besides bradley-devn winner, would be a rematch with maidana ortiz is far the bigger pucher than lamont.........and ortiz is a bettter boxer than maidana.....combine those 2 and you'd have a great shot at khan....i still think khan outboxes him, but who else cant he..also lamont got dropped by timmmy, who's far big puncher,khan would demolish him quite easily!.

He's a really dangerous puncher, he has a better offense than Maidana, he lost cuz he did quit.

It's a solid fight. Khan is obviously the greater physical talent, but there are things about Peterson that could give him trouble. Peterson's reach is greater than Khan's IIRC and would also be comparable in height. Peterson is also pretty good on the inside, a dimension that Khan lacks. If Peterson is able to make his way there, he could trouble him.

meh, its a ok fight i guess. khan vs peterson and ortiz vs guzman. would be the matches i would like to see.

He wasnt swinging at all, he was countering ortiz very well after round 4onwards I know, he landed some nice counter rights. Yet, I refuse to call it "GREAT (related to greatness)"counterpunching. And Ortiz is really predictable.

Yes, Lamont was landing some nice punches,(swinging) but C'mon, "great counterpunching"? However, I like Amir vs Lamont, it would be the 3rd worldclass lamont's fight, I think Lamont can do ok. Because, I felt he was still competitive up until that KO. Plus he still hits very hard, so will still test Khan chin even though he is pretty slow I still think he can land. Khan needs a tune up and to improve his skills. Figthing another short strong puncher with no skills is useless right now.

I'm glad Khan is not fighting Judah. Peterson>Judah, however Maidana rematch and Urango>Peterson. Disagree, Peterson > Urango. Peterson has decent skills, decent speed and has a good size (unlike Urango or Maidana), he looks very durable, he would give Amir 12 interesting rounds. I thought Peterson was ok against Ortiz, he's getting better, unlike Urango...

Good fight for Khan Peterson is a very solid fighter.

Why not a Maidana rematch? Boxers are so lame nowadays, they have an ultra competitive fight and the rematch is the last thing on their minds. Perfect example lately is Berto-Collazo.

Why Urango, he hasn't fought since getting KO'ed. Because, I felt he was still competitive up until that KO. Plus he still hits very hard, so will still test Khan chin even though he is pretty slow I still think he can land.
