funny how pac and roach dont want to cut weight but they want their opponents too. smh
Uh, if anything having a higher weight during the night of the fight is an advantage and always has been, unless of course you're ODLH and don't know how to cut weight properly. I'm not saying the heavier fighter will always win, but if the weight is solid and not flab, properly cut and rehydrated, it's an advantage no matter how you put it.
shhsit.....let see other fighters fight at their walking aorun weight and see how they do......martinez was 20 lbs overweight weeks before his fight with pwill...let's seee him fight at that weight..lol..shane mosley walks around 160 and even at 154, he got beat....the point is not all fighters who fight at thier natural weight and be more effective, everybody has to cut some to be one....pac is the exemption of this rule....
Yes he does, the guy has been cutting weight ever since his Delahoya fight.
He bulked up for that fight and had more muscle on his shoulder area than ever before. He came into a WWE event weighing 160 pounds, and those guys usually don't lie about weight. That's what he weighed in officially.
And everybody with observational skills knows that Floyd has a bit of a Small man Complex and has been trying to make up for it with Big Man Training, I.E. alot of strength training in the gym putting on muscle to his upper body. He abandons this type of training once it's Official Fight camp time and goes back to Boxing friendly exercise but it's clear that he isn't weighting 150 when he walks around. At least 10 to 15 pounds he has to lose to make 147.
so floyd was cuttingg weight in his fights against mitchell, judah, baldomir, delahoya and hatton?
I don't think Calderon cuts a lot of weight. I assume that Wonjongkam doesn't either, considering he's been at the same weight for ages, and at an advanced age for the weight.
The reality is, most fighters cut a lot of weight these days.
There is not enough fighter fighting at there natural weight. Every body is trying to cut weight. Pacquiao is fighting like OLD SCHOOL. Remember in the past. Fighter's fighting at fight night weight and that's the official weight before.
Mayweather was doing it before he retired the first time. Now i think hes much bigger now, since he couldn't even get down to 144 with marquez. And also he looks big now.

I was just about to say that. He clearly was 5lbs bigger than Shane when he fought him.
If I had to guess I would say Shane was 155 and Floyd was 160. Shane actually looked similar to how he looked when he fought Oscar in the first fight (just a tab bit bigger).
I think Shane tried to train for speed (intead of trying to bulk up) in an attempt to keep up with Floyd......but that's just my opinion.

Even when he fought Shane, steward was saying how big and strong mayweather looked compared to Mosley and to me he was. His arms were definitely bigger by a lot and his upper body IMO.

Uh hello he obviously does cut weight as evidenced by the fact that he walks around at 150-155 and is soft before training and ripped after training and...drumroll please...weighs less.
Exhibit A: 155 is less than 140 or 147.
When they talk about Pac having to eat 7000 calories to make 147 duh training 4 hours a day will cause weight loss if not mitigated by a calorie surplus.
You are a retard LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
If that's the case than Ricky Hatton walk around weight is like 200lbs haha.
Mayweather doesn't drain himself to make weight.
The last time he made 130, he said he hated cutting that weight, and even then was unofficially 137.5 on fight night, not a huge increase in overnight weight by modern standards.
I think he may some more weight now, he's grown into a decent sized WW, but I doubt it is that much.
Judah didn't cut a whole lot of weight either, although he might be doing more so now that he dropped back down to 140. Both him and Floyd had low unofficial fight night weights when they fought each other.
He couldnt get below 146 against JMM
No way.....impossible
Probably so....I thought I read somewhere that they put on weight instead of cutting weight during training camp. M
More than likely I'm wrong.
